I think our management has made their transfer plan clear by what they did or attampted this summer, and it shows purpose, sense and flexibility .even moggi approved our effort on the market.

Nobody can forsee such large injury strike, shit happen in football, that's the beauty of it.I won't blame the management for 5 point in 5 games,I complain our financial situation.

So you are saying Milan has a better chance of stoping Barca and winning the CL with a midfield of Gattuso, Ambro, Flamini, MVB, Aqua, Slowdorf, Nocerino, Urby and Boateng than Jucelei, Vidal, Inler, MVB, Slowdorf, Urby, Boateng and maybe even Nocerino?
Although beating Barca was part of winning CL over the past few yrs, but there are other teams such as ManU, Real, City and Bayern who actually play with great movement up and down the pitch with speed, something that the current Milan just does not have.

I am not blaming them or panicking due to the injuries as you really can't foresee that. But, the key injuries that caused Milan to have 5 points in 5 league games are the Ibra, Robinho and Pato, since I doubt having Gattuso, and Flamini all healthy will make a difference against Juve, Barca or Napoli. Point is, despite the injury crisis, Milan pretty much is fielding their strongest midfield at the moment(forms aside). You can make a case that Boateng was injured in the Napoli game but even if he played, I really doubt Milan would win that game. Or Juve only scored when Nesta was off...but Juve was pretty much dominating Milan even when Nesta was on the field.

There was no way we could have predicted that we would have such a long injury list. Maybe if Robinho and Pato were fit then we would have been able to create something more in attack against Juventus. It was a poor game but we're still only 6 points off the top and the season is young. When everyone is fit again, I expect that we'll return to the top again. Not saying that we DON'T need reinforcements, but it's not as bad. Seedorf played some good games recently so I can't fault him for one bad game. What's the situation with Ganso anyway? Are we still up for him in January? I haven't really been following the rumours..just watching football and playing FIFA Big Grin

Nice to read your post, it's one of reason with widespread panic across all forums. I'm not exactly confident with our side at the moment, but certainly I agree we should certainly improve over the course of the season.

As for Ganso, rumours seem dead since he got injured again.

How many injuries can he possible get?
Good news recently, we are planing urby for monty this winter( sourceConfusedina.com.cn).

Bad news, PSG offered 40 mln for hamsik,it's on tribalfootball.
May god with chinese footbball
Where's mister x????

Because surely it was not mister x who was benched in the Juve game, that must be mister z

I'm saying there is no difference between the 2 groups of midfild we are talking when playing barca, you got to play pack-bus defence anyway,defensive-oriented midfield might be more useful.the essencial part is the quality of our counter-attack,that's why I suggest we go for hamsik or gotze and support robinho-torres swap.

You seem too possesed with details and missing the big picture of this argument between us.so,this post is the end of it,I will remain silent about this topic.

CL is out of our capacity ,let's make it our primary goal next season after we complete midfield overhaul and real Mr X buy. this season,we better still aim for scudetto.

I like robinho a lot, he is great for creativity and also brings hard work that others don't. Why not offer:

Cassano, Bonera, Seedorf for Torres + 20 millions

Then buy hamsik for 20 million plus flamini. Flamini will not start, we have tons of defensive midfielders, and his wages are too high. Hamsik would gladly take 4 or 5 million.

---------Ibra--------robinho/torres/pato-----
---------------hamsik/el shaaraway------------
--------Nocerino---------------boateng-------
--------------------van Bommel---------------

* train nocerino to play cdm
* consider de Rossi
* we would be getting rid of a lot of wages and barely spending. Improving so much with more energy in midfield. This must be done!

Subs: robinho, pato, el shaaraway, Gattuso, Ambrosini, Aquilani, montolivo (if we switch him for urby)

What does everyone think?
40 million for a new team
U are basically saying as long as Milan beat Barca, they can pretty much win the CL, while I am saying if you want to win CL, League and be a true force, you need better players than Aqua, Nocerino, Monty and Constant as your starting midfielders.
Lastly, the current Milan is a few WC players short for really be consider the elite in the world. As I said earlier, even with Messi, they probably wont dominate matches like Barca or Real.

Okmilan
We were also depending a lot on Pato progressing to be a real world class striker by this point. Now inbetween injuries and maybe bad training, he doesn't seem to be ready to make that step up just yet. We do need that world class creative midfielder who can consistently contribute goals and assists for the team. I had high hopes that we would have signed Fabregas but obviously that's not happening anymore. I'm not even sure who's available these days. How is Van der Vaart doing at Tottenham? I really liked Modric too but I don't think we can sign him anymore. I'm drawing a blank w.r.t other midfielders that we could sign. Hamsik would be an epic buy but seems a bit far-fetched. Goetze and Kroos are highly unlikely to leave Germany. Are there any good, cheap creative midfielders out there..maybe in South America?
Siamo a posto cosi.

Hernanes is a name that would make happy. Smile IMO, he would fit well in this team.
and IF Ganso can stay injury free, him and Hernanes would bring our midfield up a level. but as you can see, it is a big IF. Icon_lol2
Our lackluster performance is certainly linked to the injury crisis but there is more to that. I don't know about you guys, but I am very unhappy with our training camp this summer. The players came back to the training camp being in terrible physical conditions (can't run for 90 minutes), which would indicate a light training camp. But in the meantime, the injuries still piled up. So we got the worst of both worlds: our training camp was not heavy enough to get our players in shape but it still gave them injuries. This is the complete opposite to what happened last summer when our players came back looking fit, sharp and ready to go out there and play.

We can find all sorts of excuses for our poor performance. And they are all legit. But at the end of the day, the scoring board is a cruel mistress. I am reminded of what happened to Inter last year. They started the season horribly, then got a new coach (doubt that will happen to us) and some new players (fingers crossed on that one), and made a furious come back. But at the end of the day, they still could not overcome the gigantic hole they dug for themselves early season. We are already six points behind after 5 games. At this pace, that gap is going to extend to double digits soon enough. By that time, even signing Messi would not be enough to get us the championship. It's not like Juventus and Napoli are going to lose every game they play in. So unless we are going to win the CL (big, BIG if), this season is pretty much going to suck.
