Talented yes.Good no , he cant make his talent into a good player SO FAR.Even in a bad system with a shit coach a player will show glimpses of what they can be.He hasnt for over 2 years at 2 clubs.He has a a lot of work to do and everything to work on , all aspects of his game are lacking.

I agree with every bit of your post.

However, he needs to be trusted in, by his coaches and teammates. 

He played very well last season at top 2 of 3-5-2 formation, but failed in 4-2-3-1 and 3-4-2-1 (Ben Yedder was the 1).
He was also quite promising with us under Montella, but the 4-3-3 did not favor him (Kalinic, Cutrone), and the shaky 3-5-2 of Montella did not favor anyone.

So I think he could be best at a 2-forward formation and with a coach adepted at such formation.

And the top 2 are not required to be a rigid 1 SS + 1 CF style, the positions & roles could be switched and changed. Both Piatek and Cutrone are intelligent enough and dangerous enough to divert the attention for him to get some scoring chances.
