How FIFA’s new loan rules will affect AC Milan – From quantity to strategy

Earlier today, FIFA announced some changes to the transfer market, including limitations on loan deals. Starting next season, clubs will only be allowed to have eight players (over 22) in and out. So, what does this mean for Milan?

Currently, the Rossoneri have ten players in and out on loan, excluding six players that are under the age of 22. Based on the new rules, therefore, this will be too much come next season, although some loans will expire in the summer.

Unlike Begovic, Kjaer and Saelemaekers, Rebic’s loan at the club runs until 2021, meaning he will be one of Milan’s eight loans next season. The same goes for Andre Silva, who joined Eintracht Frankfurt in exchange for the Croatian winger.

It doesn’t end there, though, as Suso joined Sevilla on an 18-month loan in January. Caldara, on the other hand, won’t affect the Rossoneri as the member associations have been given three years to implement the new rules domestically.

In other words, loan deals made between Italian clubs won’t count before the three-year period is over. From the 2022/23 season, FIFA will further cut down on loans as the limit will drop to six loans in and out.

Of course, this new system will also affect Milan’s transfer strategy, as they usually bring in players on loan with option to buy. The directors will thus have to come up with a plan that can keep them within the parameters this summer.

Loans: Begovic (until June 2020), Kjaer (June 2020), Rebic (June 2021), Saelemaekers (June 2020).

Out on loan: Caldara (until June 2021), Halilovic (June 2020), Reina (June 2020), Rodriguez (June 2020), Silva (June 2021), Suso (June 2021).

Boban seems to be pissed off by Gazidis about Rangnick. This will not work Elliott must decide either Gazidis or Boban and Maldıni.

Gazidis doesn't know what he's doing when it comes to the football side and judging by our dwindling sponsors he doesn't know about the money side either.
I remember someone saying here or elsewhere that while Arsenals revenue got bigger with Gazidis it coincided with the EPLs TV revenue getting bigger and bigger and bigger and a rising tide rises all boats.
I think if its he and not Paolo and Zvonny then we fucked.

We have to keep fingers crossed otherwise Gazidis will make us worse than Arsenal. I am not speaking of financial, just of sportive success. To be honest we haven't seen any success since ages...
