Summer mercato 2020

What I am trying to say is first of all, I am NOT pro Gazidis but to me there is plenty of evidence that 'we want to bring Milan back soon' is not possible and the legends can't operate when it's not possible. They will leave even if Gazidis doesn't do dumb things cause their B&G time type dream won't happen.

I respectfully disagree. I don't think it is necessarily true that Maldini and Boban are naive or stubborn enough to pursue their B&G type dream. Their track record has suggested their success. They paid peanuts for Bennacer. They definitely underpaid for Theo. We paid 8M on Rade Krunic, and that's absolutely not B&G type dream. They are quite down-to-earth and accepting the reality that we have to make the bargain purchases. What big names have they bought, or what big salary have they handed out? The deal on Ibrahimovic looks like a shrewd one, even with the dip in Ibrahimovic's form in the recent past.

If anything, Gazidis is the one that's naive and stubborn, believing that a young team can do well on its own. Perhaps he doesn't care about the results on the field, but to increase profit, there are two ways: cut the cost and increase the revenue. All he knows seems to be cutting the cost. Has he done anything to increase revenue? (not a rhetorical question).

I wonder why Maldini rejected Li's invitation (I believe he was invited) but opted to trust Elliott. Elliott is more cold-blooded business, while Li in fact truly cares about Milan, though he is stupid and eventually paid a price for that. If Maldini was as you claimed, having that B&G type of big-spending dream, he would/should have accepted a role. That summer, we overpaid for a lot of crappy players. Imagine if Maldini was around, we could have improved the quality by much more with the same amount of expenditure. (Of course, we got screwed by Bonucci too, but that's a different story).

I am too upset (and busy) to continue typing. I am going to stop here now, and just wait to see how it unfolds from here.
If for nothing else i will be grateful to them for sending out Suso! That's enough for me.
Milan and Parma in for Inter Miami's Rodolfo Pizarro.
Forza Diavolo ale!!!

I believe it will be year zero number 8 in a ROW.First reshuffle being in 2012 when all the senatores left and Ibra and Silva were sold. Each year since has been a bitter disappointment of either below average players like Constant Traore Mesbah Maxi Lopez Matri Mati Fernandez Lapadula Ocampos Sosa Vangioni , or failures or let downs like Balotelli 2nd time Calhanoglu Rodriguez Conti Biglia Silva Kalinic....its been a brutal 8 years and we about to head into another.
€2m wage cap what

Gazidis has praised Zlatan for his impact at Milanello but the proposed farewell of sporting director Zvonimir Boban and technical director Paolo Maldini could impact the future of the Swedish superstar.
The Gazzetta dello Sport writes that Gazidis will have to touch the right buttons to convince him to stay before adding that the most complicated situation would be the one of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Because of a reported wage cap of €2m a year in place from next season, it could complicate the situation for many of the stars currently plying their trade at the Giuseppe Meazza.
The Italy international is tied to a contract worth €6m a year and the newspaper writes that his wage might lead to the youngster being sold this summer.
Rebic is another player who has revelled after the winter break and has lit up San Siro with his goals. But the Croatia international is on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt and Gazzetta claims that a sale of Donnarumma might help the Rossoneri sign him on a permanent deal.
I read from a Chinese site that Milan plans to bring back Andre Silva and also redeem Ante Rebic.

I don't know about the credibility of the source. Treat it as simply rumor, if you would. Honestly, with the earthquake in the management, I would be surprised if there is anything that can be taken seriously these days.

hmmm...
Possible if Zlatan is gone or if we're playing two up top. We definitely don't have the depth to be playing a two man strike force and Silva fits the second striker role.

If Zlatan is gone and we're playing with the one striker... leaves us with Leao(in Theory capable of playing as an ST/SS/lone striker), Silva(SS), Rebic(SS) as options.
If Zlatan stays then that at least leaves us with Zlatan(ST/Lone Striker), Leao(ST/SS/Lone Striker), Silva(SS), Rebic(SS) as options.

That being said, although Rebic can play there he's shown he's much more effective playing out wide.

If we're sticking to two up top I'm fine with Silva coming back. If we're playing with the one and losing Zlatan then bringing back Silva is just stupid(Although it would be typical of Milan)
What i dont understand is, if Galzidis planed revolution and Zlatan wasnt meant for next year, why was Piatek sold then.

that's the main issue. I don't think there has been any consistency in our "plan". that at least partially explains why every year is our year 0.

You two are assuming there was a plan.
