Summer mercato 2020
Not a fan of Mandragora at all. Imo, average player. But still young, so could turn out decent. No way should he be a starter though.

I've heard many good things about Pobega...but have never seen him play.

I'm not against young players. But to be honest, that is not the midfield of a team that wants to be taken seriously in the fight for CL, and let's not even talk about anything more.

Unless there is going to be a Gasperini-like effect in terms of coaching...we will struggle to keep up with the top of the table with that midfield.

We take 60mil, clean. This plus the Suso sale (hopefully) gives us a nice chunk to work with in the summer.

Now...the problem is something else. We've had a complete breakdown of activities wothin the club, and i'm not talking about the ones caused by the virus. I'm talking about the fact that we have no clue who is monitoring targets, who is eatablishing future transfer goals, etc. This is an aspect of the club operations that should never stop. We should always be monitoring and scouting, keeping in touch with agents and clubs, etc. Instead, we keep hearing reports that Maldini and Gazidis haven't even talked. What a mess!

That's if Rangnick hasn't actually signed. If he has, he's likely already got plans in place. We also don't know what's happenign behind closed doors. That and the fact most clubs are likely in the same boat.

Mandragora is ok. But that's it. just ok.
I like Pobega though.

As you said though, unless we get a Gasperini-like change then it wont work. That plus the added issue of our club not being patient so how long would we give this new plan anyway?

Pobega is a very underrated and highly-rated midfielder, often compared with Matic. We can't really let our young players go as we did with Locatelli who is currently linked with clubs like Inter and Juve.
Forza Diavolo ale!!!
kepa + 60m for dollar, i would take it.

I didn't mean to let him go. But to start the seasonwith him as a CM starter is very risky. Even Bennacer, who I think is an absolute gem of a player and also had Serie A experience, has gone through a learning curve and is still climbing it, committing expected mistakes very often. But that's ok. It needs to happen. But to have several of these players in the midfield that will require mistakes in order to grow....could be a suicide.

Bring back Pobega if he's really that talented. As I said, I've heard that, but have never seen him play. But ease him in, develop him. Give him opportunities. If then he's good enough, play him, of course.

Locatelli is always being mentioned when these conversations come up...but the decision was his. Milan told him that he is appreciated and important for the future. He simply wanted to be the given starter. Even then, we were willing to let him go to be a starter at Sassuolo (which by the way he wasn't always that 1st year), but wanted a buy-back option. Again, showing that we believe in him. He didn't want that. He refused it. He basically demanded a move, and gave Milan NO options...except keep him and start him in every game (not reasonable).

I would take Locatelli back actually. I think he's been developing nicely and has been growing in confidence (this season especially). I don't know if he'll want to come back. Something about the way things ended with him tells me he won't want to. But I think a player like him would be a great compliment to Bennacer. Pobega might be too...but I'd like for him to get some Serie A experience under his belt before saying he should slot alongside Bennacer in the middle.

Krunic + 10-15M is what Milan must offer Sassuolo to bring Locatelli back.
I was reading somewhere that Pobega playing style is being compared with Fiorentina starlet Castrovilli who himself came from Serie B last season.

I am bit more worried for next season striker, Vedat Muriqi of Fenerbahce would be a good pick considering his 20M price tag
Forza Diavolo ale!!!
Muriqi is not a bad option at all. He is something like Ibrahimovic, tall strong on aerial balls, and can keep the ball.

Exactly... Locatelli got what he wanted.

i'd take him back too but at what cost?

Maybe Krunic +10m. Wouldn't spend any more than that on him.

Castrovilli would be great but with the new owner, no chance getting him for any decent sort of figure.
