Offer Arsenal Hakan for Auba. 20+Hakan, or Kessie + 5/10M
Forza Diavolo ale!!!

I still blame that f*cker Bonucci. Without his sudden farce, we were at full force pursuing Aubameyang. Say all you want about Li, as he is inexperienced and even stupid, but his love of Milan seems genuine.
I think 30m for Aubameyang is a fair deal but doubt he is coming with the low(er) salary.

Salary space could be made. I don't believe the 2mil cap. I think it's unreasonable to think we can make that function. We already have many players above that...so there i no way they'll take a paycut to go below the 2mil cap.
The key is not to throw money away. We are paying high salaries to players like Biglia who have offered nothing. Having 3 players of around 4.5-6.5mil in salary is sustainable for us...if we than don't pay 3mil to trash like Biglia. For example....if we sell/release Biglia, Gigio, Ibra (3.5 net for 6 months, so 7mil a year) and Bonnaventura...we'd free up a ton of funds (about 16/17mil net). Out of those players, only 2 can be considered starters, and out of those 2, Gigio's replacement won't make more than 1.5-2mil a year. So we could have enough space to get 2 players like Aubameyand without spending a dime more than what we're spending this year. My point is...i'm ok with having a total salary cap, for example 100mil a year. But whoever is the SD should be able to break that out as they see fit. It shouldn't be on individual basis such as any 1 player can at most make 2 mil. That'll kill us I think. Having said that, no many of our current players deserve more than 2mil anyway.

That's why I earlier asked a question: how credible is that 2m salary cap? Is it confirmed or just a rumor?
2m for everyone is just unthinkable.

Good question. I don't know that the club will ever confirm something like that. It also might be some kind if policy "going forward" but doesn't necessarily mean we'll ask current players to take paycuts.
Budgeting is the basis of any successful business. I'm sure there is a wage budget appropriated at Milan. Which is why i'm thinking the whole 2mil cap is baseless. If you wanted to lower what you spend in wages, you can only offer 2mil going forward, but existing wages have to be kept and taken into consideration if we want to be a successful entity. Otherwise, it'll be mass sales this summer. I don't think that'll happen. 2 thirds of our squad makes 2mil or more. It's impossible. |
