I'd like for us to keep our best players and build on that. Donnarumma, Romagnoli, Theo, Bennacer. These are unsellable for me. The rest can all go for the right price or even cheaper so that we can use that cash and build the squad. There is plenty of players there to sell in order to raise money. I don't see why we should sell our most important ones.

Fixed it for you. Not a Hakimi fan and although I like Tonali, any cent more than 25m is too much.

As I've said before....if Rangnick is coming, he needs to be here already. Planning and talking to those we are interested in. Why would a player sign for us right now? Who is going to talk to them? Maldini? Is he even going to be here next season? The player's first thought will be "who wants me at Milan? The old management or the new? Who the hell will be the coach/director"?
This is a mess, and the longer it goes the longer next season's planning is delayed and the more possibility that we will start yet another season poorly.
Everyone and their mother seems to know that Rangnick is going to take over. So if this is indeed what's happening, make the change now (at least in management, not in coaching). What's the wait for? Are we protecting a season that's already over for us? The only thing we can hope for is EL, and if we can't beat Bologna/Chievo/Parma to that, than who the hell cares anyway how the season ends...

yep. pretty much. Better to start working for next year. Especially with the next three fixtures... would take a miracle to get us the Europa spot. Better to have Rangnick here already working toward next season. Would also show whether Maldini and Rangnick could work together and hopefully mean we don't need to lose one to have the other.

No way we should sell Roma for only 50m... Is Maguire goes for 80m pounds then Roma is worth at least 120m Euro.
Realistically, anything under 70m should be a "GTFO"
especially considering the rumours are that Upamecano would cost 40m.

Romagnoli has two years left on his contract and I'm not sure he will sign a new one. He's been here long enough to see that this "project" isn't going anywhere, we're no better than we were when he arrived 5 years ago. And now we're supposed to be starting from scratch again with a bunch of young players who need at least a few more years for us to come good. For his own career, will he have time for that?

I don't know if €50 million is the right price or not, but I really don't think we can expect much more than that in today's market. I think maybe we overrate him a bit because he's ours and our captain.

I think a more reasonable deal is we "buy" Savic for 25mil while Atletico buys Romagnoli for 60mil. Meaning they have to pay us 35mil on top of letting us have Savic. I'd adjust those transfermarkt values a bit due to the different situation of the players, even though you could argue their quality is very much similar. But one is a player, who although important, Atletico are exploring the options to replace him. The other is one of the more consistent players for Milan, probably the 1st name on the line up sheet, and also Milan's captain. Savic is 29 and entering the later stages of his career and has already reached his peak while Romagnoli is 25 and is entering the prime of his career, yet to reach his peak. 
If this doesn't work for Atletico, than they can just buy Romagnoli and keep Saic....but that would have to be at least 60mil, imo. Because this is the amount it would take to adequately replace him and possibly have some left over to invest in the squad. Otherwise, no point.

Regardless...I'm not a big fan of signing someone like Savic and I don't think he makes our team better for example. Good player. Lot of experience. But his signing doesn't strike me as something that will make the team that much more improved. As I said, I think him and Romagnoli are of comparable quality...only that Savic plays in a better team in a much more stabile environment whereas Romagnoli has been playing "Year Zero" seasons for the past 5 years in a midtable team. 


Anyway, overrating Romagnoli or not (you are probably right that we as Milan fans overrate him), I still believe he's done enough to be considered a top 5 CB in Italy. Also, as i've mentioned, my personal opinion is that our main purpose this summer should be to provide some stability and build on our best players. Romagnoli happens to be one of our best players (whatever that means these days).
