Summer mercato 2020
Here's a deal for Barcelona.....
20 mil Loan + obligation to buy at a further 80mil for both Emerson and Coutinho (if we make the CL). Big Grin It values Emerson at 25 and Coutinho and 75. Pretty fair I'd say.
The 20mil should cover the amount they need to bring Emerson back from Betis early (I think it said 9 mil), and it'll help them recover a little more from that insane cost they took for Coutinho. It also takes Coutinho's salary off their books (but can we afford that salary? Big Grin)

For us, we add a top class attacker that can play across the AM positions and we fix our RB spot.

I know...Coutinho level players are simply impossible for us right now. But...one can hope Big Grin

Countinho is finished....move on, I honestly prefer James Rodriguez instead of him

When we have spend 25M on Conti....then why not?
Forza Diavolo ale!!!
If we are getting Marc Roca, are we going to switch to 3 man midfield again? I don't think he will come here just to be a backup for Benna and Kessie

To say Coutinho is finished at 27 (I disagree) is 1 thing. But then to turn around and say you'd instead take James??  Huh

Why would we change anything right now? And what is this "starter-backup" thing everyone always talks about. This is Milan. We can't have 11 starters and the rest back ups. We need almost everyone to be starting material. We can't ever be fighting for top honors with this mentality. Nobody should be scared of competition. Otherwise they don't belong here and they can go to a midtable team where they can play in every game, whether they are in good form or bad...because there is no talent to take their spot there.

Juventus has Costa, Ronaldo, Higuain, Dybala, Bernardeschi, Cuadrado. Do they play with all 6? They also have Pjanic, Bentancur, Ramsey, Matuidi, Rabiot, Khedira. Do they play all 6?
In defense, Chirllini, Bonucci, Demiral, De Ligt, Rugani....I don't see them play a 3 man back line or 5 CBs across.
If you can fit all your best players in 1 formation, ok. But it's rarely the case. And if you've found a formation in which your team is balanced and has clicked and gelled...you don't change it for any new signing. Let the players fight for a starting position.
There are confirmations that AC Milan and Napoli are on the trail of the French midfielder, Jordan Veretout. However, the player would only leave unless there is a significant offer presented on the table. (CorSport)

Juventus are not giving up on the idea of signing Donnarumma. For them, he is an ideal solution for the future. However, Gigio is very close to signing a new deal with AC Milan. (Tuttosport)

The Rossoneri could propose a contract renewal to Donnarumma starting from his current €6M salary with a duration of the contract that varies between 2023 and 2025. (Tuttosport)

AC Milan, for the midfield, is keeping an eye on Samuele Ricci, the player is appreciated by the Rossoneri management. They will also have to decide whether they want to continue pursuing Dominik Szoboszlai or not. (Tuttosport)

Milan to reignites interest for Barcelona owned Schalke flop Todibo. Barcelona asking 25M. (Foot Mercato)

Chelsea ready to offer Jorginho for Bennacer. (CM)

Lokomotiv Moscow is always interested in Laxalt. Milan is asking for Aleksey Miranchuk. But obviously, it can't be an equal exchange. It remains to be seen if an agreement will be reached between both clubs. (Sky)

Comparing Juventus with Milan is completely absurd, they can afford to pay Huge salary to bench players, but we can't, you can't expect Roca to be on the bench and earning 2-3M/year, it will never happen until unless we pay around 6M to him, or one another way is of Inter way, to rotate midfield in every game to give playing time of every midfield, their whole midfield is packed.
Forza Diavolo ale!!!
This is how much money average players in Juventus earn and compare it with Milan(per week)-

Sami Khedira                        £130,000
Federico Bernardeschi            £90,000
Mattia Perin                          £70,000
Aaron Ramsey                       £225,000
Forza Diavolo ale!!!
Milan, Brighton, and Freiburg back in for Paderborn's Luca Killian(Daily Mail)

Napoli closing in on for Milan target Boga. (DiMarzio)

Inter Milan to exercise 20M buyback clause for Zinho Vanhausden as an alternative for overpriced Kumbulla. (Gazzetta)

Who said he'll be earning 3mil? And sorry, but isn't 3+ mil what we pay to Biglia???

Also, what difference does it make to Roca?? If he agrees to come here on a 2-3mil deal, he has to fight for his spot. We don't know if he'll play or not. It's absurd to say "we'll pay you more so that you are happy on the bench". This isn't Football Manager. We don't have to rotate anything. Most in form, freshest players, players that fit the opposition best, etc...those are the ones that play. If someone's not happy on the bench, they can start performing. And if not, they can be sold next season. But this is the way it is.

By your logic, we should be signing the likes of Baselli and Rincon, because those players won't complain being on the bench. Then, when we have Bennacer/Kessie injured/suspended/out of form, we'll just drop points.

And why the hell shouldn't I compare us to Juventus? Who should I compare ourselves to? Torino? Fiorentina? Parma?
If you aspire to be somewhere, that's what you compare you yourself to. You wanna fight for a top spot? You compare yourself to the top team. Not to the ones in midtable.

You said you are a medical student. Who do you compare yourself to? Where do you wanna be in a year, 2, 5? I'm sure you don't compare your knowledge currently to the nurses. You compare it to the other doctors. At least I hope
