However, Diawara was not registered on the senior player list, even after the Lega Serie A informed Roma of the error.

Will they just lose that one point? that would be unfair. They should get docked three points. 

Otherwise, if you play some ineligible guy and lose the game anyway, you will have no point to lose?

This is a very fair point. 

Bssed on the official Serie A website, it's just this game. Roma is at zero and Verona at 3. So the rule must be "lose the game in question" rather then "lose it and get docked 3 points", or simply "get docked 3 points".  
Considering the situation, I guess it might be a little too harsh to dock them a further 3. But I think it should be -3, and award the win to the other team. That would put Verona at 3 and Roma at -2. 

In any case, rules are rules, so this must be the rule for this type of situation.
