I am afraid your suggestions won't fit to our expectation. I only can see we go for a young talented CB who has some experience, not a youngster without few competitive games played. A player who has potential to grow to be a great CB. We won't buy a top experienced CB I think.

Ginter can definitely compete with Kjaer and Romagnoli though don't underestimate him. 230 appearances in the Bundesliga, and 33 caps for the national team at age 26 says enough. Transfermarkt values him at 32 million. I mean might not be an exciting name but it would be a great signing. Elvedi (also 1 year left in his contract) would be a good shout too.

Simakan purely for his versatility.

Around 30 mil euros seems pretty high for 3rd CB IMO. If we want to spend, it is better in a young player who has got potential to become great defender.

I also think like that but Kabak seems superior in physical appearance.

Both have contracts ending in 2022 which means one year left in the contract this summer. No one's going to pay 30m. Also the thing is we play so many matches it makes no sense to call someone the 3rd cb when they're all equally talented. Just let them fight for their spot.

Liverpool are interested in Kabak and are desperate to sign someone in January. They could/would easily pay €30m for him.

Considering Van Dijk is out for the season, they're desperately need another CB, so I wouldn't be surprised if they go after him aggressively.
