I do like Donnarumma, it's not that I want his head to be guillotined but his attitude towards club and his(and his agent) ever growing demand of salary rattled me to point of insanity.

He still had good days in Leeds it's not that he is coming from absolute anonymity and darkness, to be fair Championship(second division EPL) is still far better than Eredivisie in terms of overall quality(if I exclude Ajax ofcourse).

I don't want him tbh it's just mazen who lit the fire  but he could be consider a alternative if we sell Donna next season.

Have you guys seen Tariq Lamptey from Brighton? A great prospect, of course a lot to learn, especially defensively, but have tremenedous quality going forward, and just 19 years old. To buy from PL is always expensive, thats the problem.

Could be a serious contender to Calabria, or even at the right wing. Exiting player with possibly a great future. On the other side, we have good cover in Dalot and also Kalulu. But just wanted to mention him.

Buying from PL clubs is very time wasting and expensive, they are asking 25M for him but damn we should have bought him from Chelsea for just 3M in January but will he come here considering rampant racism in Italy and English reluctance to look for abroad?

Because he's the flavor of the month. That's what some people do. "The grass is always greener on the other side", didn't you know that? They'll watch one or two games, or not even and their entire desire is based on some youtube clips, and BAM..we have to sign that player. If we don't, then "the management is clueless". So many of these players have then gone on to have shitty careers...but, there is always a new flavor of the month...

It means nothing that Everton, or Southampton or Inter were interested in him. He is not at the same level as Handanovic. And no, he is not on the same level as Donnarumma, i don't care what ratings he had. It's fair for a club like Inter to kept tabs on someone like Silvestri when Handanovic had contract negotiations and uncertainty. But at the end, that's all he (Silvestri) is. A fall-back option.

Silvestri may just be entering his prime. On that, I can agree. But while Donnarumma is here, there is no need and no point of buying him or any other GK, unless they clearly know they are a back up. 

There are always GKs that have breakout seasons and end up making some insane saves for a year or two. Not sure if you know him or remember him, but Storari had some insane seasons. Yet at the big clubs he was nothing more then a back up. Even Amelia was considered a "prodigy" at one point. One good season at 29 doesn't mean you can go to Milan and replace Donnarumma. Be careful what you ask for. Like I said, the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

IF we're looking at a replacement for Gigio then we should be looking at Cragno. No point looking anyway unless we're selling Gigio.
And agree with what you've said. There have been many that have come before that have had an amazing season or two, moved to a top club, and achieved nothing. Storari is a great example... Essentially became a sub keeper for a Milan and then Juve.

There was rumors we were looking at him. He's currently on loan at Genoa. No reason why we couldn't start speaking to Sassuolo now to see if we can make a deal for end of season.

1) I did not say that. I just questioned whether he is the right man to replace the best goalkeeper in the country based on his relatively poor career so far.

2) It's true that goalkeepers tend to peak around that age. But it's not normal that an average Serie B goalkeeper suddenly becomes world class at 29-30. Not saying it can't happen, but it would be like hitting some kind of jackpot. Antonio Donnarumma is 30, maybe we can bet on him to blossom...

maybe we should take meret from napoli and give him the confidence he need, he is not a bad GK imo. but that is an if, if dollar is not renewed or sold
