Finance wise giving an even big raise to Hakan is obviously still cheaper.
Let's say 3 year contract with Hakan doubling his 2.5m salary The extra cost is 15m gross. Not much can be found on the market like that.

I don't like Hakan, throw him out, he has been ridiculously inconsistent. I hope he performs horrible so that we won't extend his contract

Another guy who is a rising Serie A star, Zaccagni would be good option to consider and he is a bit more versatile than Hakan(can literally also play as SS and LW)
