They thought an agreement would be reached quickly and didn’t push earlier. Now, Raiola controls the situation. It seems they don’t have 10 mil contract elsewhere, otherwise they wouldn’t accept 2 year extension. I guess it would be 8.5 for 4 years, I don’t think other clubs have liquidity to pay Raiola’s fee for a “free” transfer. I still think Milan should get rid of this player.

Why the hell do we always negotiate Donna's contract right before it expires putting our back against the wall...?
Hakan is a POS donkey of a player. I'm happy to see him leave in fairness.

Screw Hakan. It's actually exciting to get a new #10 anyway. One actually worthy of that shirt, I hope.
On Donnarumma....I'm starting to get nervous. He's a generational talent. To lose him for free would absolutely suck. But him and Raiola are not being reasonable. And in this, I support Maldini and the club. There has to be a line drawn. We are making all kinds of sacrifices. We always have for Donnarumma from day 1. From that very 1st contract renewal. And they (him and Raiola) never want to take a step back. It's always the club reaching up and moving forward. Now they want super high salary, BUT only 1-2 year deal. They want a salary that matches a player valuation of 100+ mil, BUT want a release clause of less then half that. It makes no sense. I'm glad the club is standing firm. At the end, whatever happens, happens. But we can't be taken for a ride.

On the other hand;
Di Marzio: Milan-Calhanoglu, now the agreement is close. During the day there was a blitz by the player himself without his agent to discuss the renewal of the contract. On Sunday evening after the match against Roma, there was also a conversation with Gazidis and today there are great openings to close the deal shortly. There is a minimum difference between request and offer that can be filed with bonuses. One will get it right at least. If Di Marzio is correct then Hakan going all out to stay is admirable. See memo Gigio?

Not sure i'd call it all out. He's held off this long to squeeze as much money as possible. If someone offered him what he wanted, he'd probably be out in a second.
![]() But anyway, if he signs, all good. I still am not fully convinced with him. One of the most inconsistent players of the last 5 years.

Milenkovic isnt doing as well this season but I do still think he's a good player. IMO I'd have Izzo as plan A but that's just me. I'll add that the sources(Portuguese Papers) are notoriously unreliable but still. Where there's smoke... (03-02-2021, 09:29 PM)Demonbanana Wrote: On the other hand; Urgh...
