LOL... Fiorentina took a stab at Galliani's transfer tactics
 ...by saying they would sell Montolivo during January transfer windows but not to a club that "is not behaving properly, trying to take him on a free transfer."  If they really referred to Milan - then they are really behaving stupidly. Sure, we did sign a bunch of players on free transfer. But we gave away Pirlo for free (who was still worth 15+ millions I think) and some others more or less crappy players. It's not like we were sneaking in behind the scenes trying to upset players. If the club can't settle a contract before player's current deal runs out - they are the only ones to blame.

If montolivo refuse to renew his contract,club can transfer him to a team against his will? Is that mean he is ours already?

Sounds like boss of PSG and boss of Man City are cousins, but it prints Fly Emirate on Milan's shirt as well. This is self sabotage for Dubai family if Milan and PSG fight for already-commit-to-Milan Tevez.

True. If Montolivo wants to wait until May, he can. Then he can go anywhere he wants for free. And then he'll be able to get more money because whoever signs him will do so for free. Great! he is ours then,at midfield we only need to find an MVB replacement next summer.
Allegri played seedorf at CDM position last week,maybe he wants to try a total box-box midfield. if that's the case,our MVB replacement search will be much wider.

I would rather though we acquire his service in January. He is eligible for CL and would land a helping hand. I don't want us to go down the same road like last year when we barely had any midfielder available for the important CL clash with Tottenham.
 Particularly, if van Bommel truly is leaving in January (as suggested by some source), then we could be in big trouble. I have liked Ambrosini very much and supported him since 1995, even when Ancelotti never fully trusted him, but this season I simply can't believe my eyes when I saw how bad Ambrosini has turned into.  As much I still like Seedorf, I don't trust him and don't think we have anyone for the crucial CDM position. van Bommel is the only true possibility (when he plays well), but even he is deteriorating badly this season.
