Summer mercato 2021

Assuming we have around 100m transfer budget since we always usually spend around 50-60m and we qualified for CL this time around, I know around 40-50m will be gone toward Tonali + Tomori if we take both.

If we buy De Paul let's say (or someone of his quality) for around 35m, we already spent 15m on Maignan. There goes the 100m.

Then we have some opportunities. If Hakan leaves, we can bring in Ilicic free. We can also sign Giroud free with Mandzukic leaving.

This is a decent mercato and we haven't sold Castillejo(7-10m) yet, we haven't sold Leao (30m) yet and we haven't sold Romagnoli (35-40m).

All things considered we could have a juicy mercato if we move our pieces around correctly

We still have Caldara, Conti, Laxalt to sell.

Btw guys reason I asked about Leao is that I had this opinion of him being a lazy donkey but meanwhile if you watch all our goals this season he was involved in literally almost all of them... Makes me really wonder.

He is a monster. He is faster than 80% of the players while running with 20% effort. 

I would keep him if money is not an issue.

He has scored 10 goals in 1000mins in UCL and Premier league. 4m is ok for that, no transfer fees involved.

I mean we didn't pay that much less for Mario and he was worse. 
4m a season for a free transfer is ok. He's experienced enough and means we push the search for a starting striker to the end of next season meaning we can spend the money on other positions this season.
I still think we should get Belotti before it's too late but that's just me. Roma offering 15m. I'd offer 20m plus Laxalt/Conti. or 15m plus Caldara and Laxalt/Conti.

He's a good player. He's just not suited to play lone striker and I'm not sure we're using him correctly. But start of the season with him on the left and ZLatan up front, we always looked super dangerous and it seemed like he was doing it all with very little effort. 
even the goal where he seemingly jogged through 5 defenders, he made it seem effortless. 
If we're going to keep him, we need to work out how to get him to work like that every game.

Lol lapadula is the best number 9 since pipo.

We need a really good number 9 to break the curse. Although all of the above strikers barely had good service from midfield to score. It's understandable that they didn't score that many. Hopefully after the summer transfers our midfield will be much better

I think the real curse is that in most of those cases (Higuain, Pato, Adriano, ) those careers ended up in crap. Only Andre Silva is doing anything prominent. Otherwise back to mediocrity or career ended, play in Qatar or whatever. 


Maybe just retire #9 is best for all. Does Pippo have a Son ?
