Carlo did something special with us in the 2000s. Nobody can deny that. The players we had were brilliant, but he also was. But after he left Milan, I can't say he's done something out of the norm at the clubs he's been at. As a matter of fact, I'd say he's failed at most of them...keeping in mind what he was actually hired for to begin with (ex: he wasn't hired at Bayern, PSG and Chelsea to win the Bindesliga or Ligue 1, or the EPL for that matter. He was hired at Everton to make them one of the top 7, he failed. He was hired at Napoli to potentially win the Scudetto, he failed and was even sacked mid-season).
Despite all that, to win the title in all top 5 leagues is incredible And to be the only one to do it, shows that it's not easy. So for Carlo, although I don't like Real, I hope he does it.
Yea, Ancelotti was never known to be an expert in league-format. He was fired by Juventus in a humiliating manner (during the half time of the penultimate game of the season, when they still had a chance to win Scudetto!) because, let's be fair though, he kind of cost them two Scudetti in a row. (Good job Carlo, we love you for that too.  )
With Milan, he should have won more than just one Scudetto wit the squad he had at his disposal. I mean, even Zaccheroni got one with what he had (beating Ancelotti too  ). He only won 1 league title with Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG each, and one can say it is harder for them to lose than to win (something like Robinho's ability to surprise everyone when it comes to scoring chances that are easier to score than to miss).
For the sake of collection, I think it would be great fun to actually achieve that. An added reason is that Mourinho is currently the only one that has won the "major 3": Serie A, La Liga, EPL. So, while Carlo has 4 on his resume, in the books of many, he is behind Mourinho, and I want to see him take over that annoying bastard.
Good luck to Carlo (he's a good man too, though I am a bit upset that he seems to refuse to return--smart choice by him probably), but only in their domestic league.

To be fair, Fatih Terim was a great coach. His football philosophy was just aggressive and entertaining. His teams (Galatasaray, Fiorentina) kicked Milan's ass so bad during those years, and that's probably why we (Berlusconi?) insisted bringing him to Milan. Galliani always wanted Ancelotti, but Carlo was not available.
It is unfair to Terim because Ancelotti was fired by Juventus (deservedly, as I just shared in another post ) before Terim could even start at Milan. it felt like that many were just waiting for him to fail so that Ancelotti could take over. The season was like a roller-coaster, starting extremely hot but cooled down a bit; but Terim's position never looked secure despite his decent stats (4W 3D 1L in his first 8 Serie A games); then, when Inzaghi skyed that 90' penalty at Torino, Terim's days at Milan were over. Only two losses. I think that's really unfair, even back then.
Of course, Carlo's Milan was a legendary story in itself, but who is to say that Terim could not have achieved the same, if not more, should he be given more time and more patience? If Terim had Nesta (who joined us a season later) who could greatly help out defense which was always the biggest problem of Terim's teams), we might have come down as the greatest team in the history, who knows?
One more thought. Throughout Milan history, I feel that foreign coaches were almost never treated the same. They don't get enough respect and recognition. Terim was a god figure in Turkey football during Turkey's golden times; he was fired in November. Truth being told, Carlo's first season with Milan wasn't so good. He barely got a last-minute CL spot. Tabarez was similar, also the godfather in Uruguay football; he wasn't great with us, but Milan was quick to fire him and couldn't wait to bring back Arrigo Sacchi. Awaiting Sacchi was an arguably easiest game (but most important) in CL. All Sacchi/Milan needed to do was to get a draw at San Siro against Rosenborg (a team we beat 4:1 away) to get into the playoff, and we lost miserably. I even wrote a letter to Milan after that game (the postage was expensive for a poor college student in China!), but of course never heard back. LOL. Sacchi couldn't right the ship (he probably made it worse) and Milan ended the season at 11th! Mihajlovic was certainly a decent coach, if not more, but B&G fired him with 6 Serie games (and a Coppa final) to go and EL spot all but wrapped up. They figured that it would be safe to bring in Brocchi, but Milan somehow managed to ruin the EL spot. Not to blame Brocchi, just wanted to point out the irony. Seedorf was an intelligent coach who retired from his playing career (Botafogo) mid-season just to come back to help out the team. He did well (I think) but was fired nonetheless. They were all treated unfairly (more or less), if compared to their Italian counterparts. The only exception I can think of was Nils Liedholm, who was practically an Italian after living there so many years and even died in Italy. I don't want to say that Italians (or our club) were/are xenophobia, but they certainly had a bit too much pride of their "own" people, players or coaches.

Its actually not that complicated. If you wanna work in italy as a coach you have to have a good grasp of the language. It doesnt solve all problems but its a pre-requisite.

Language is important to get into any other country (and not just Italy), yet Italy is the only one that is unfriendly to foreign coaches and players, so your logic is not sound.
I can go on and on with more anecdotes to prove my point, but I will stop here. I used to support Italy NT with all my heart (because of Milan), but now it is just Milan for me (don't care about Italy NT, despite Milan). That change came around 08-10, I think (no, it is not a over-night change).

Ig the reason why foreign coach doesn't really had a much of mark in Italy as much as England due to the fact that Italians always made the great tacticians compared to their counterparts.
Italians were the first people to welcome Balkan players, when they started flocking Serie A since 80s. Though I agree racism against black people is a huge issue in Italy but that's also something to do with migrant crisis that Europe is facing as a whole but still I agree there is a big issue here.
Coming to Xenophobia part.... Listen Xenophobia is a human nature, people always feels attached to people of same creed, ethnic, religion, blah blah... Same goes for other species.
