Summer mercato 2021

Seems these guys have taken the fact we made UCL as if we're suddenly Rich.

I think this will become easier with money and stability. When we are a mainstay in the CL, when we have a steady income flow....planning becomes simpler. Budgeting starts being a lot closer to the actuals.
I think this was precisely the issue last summer. We just didn't know what ground we stood on. We simply could not afford certain salaries without the CL income, yet we had no clue if we'd be in. There was probably some level of "calm" about negotiations due to thinking things will work out if we made the CL...but it was still an unknown. Then, we know how it ended.

At the end...like I said...i think with more (and steady flow of) money everything becomes easier. That, and the fact that Maldini (but also Elliot) is likely to learn a lesson here.

With that being said, it's not just Kessie, Calabria and Romagnoli. We also have to take care of those whose contracts expire 2 years from now. Tie them down now.

THis. and lets put it this way. say we did sign them and didn't make UCL?
Then what? We've got players, we can't afford to keep, with no buyer willing to pay us and pay their high wage. We're back to late Galliani days.

On all th garbage I've ready lately about we lost 100m/150m worth of players... Lets put it this way...
Gigio's only offer last year was 20m plus Areola(Nefremo posted 20m but I had it in my head it was 15m). Areola was worth around 20m so that's 40m. Hakan was up for sale for 20m and no one came knocking. clearly 40m and who knows, maybe 10m, is all those two were worth last season.
This season.... they're worth next to nothing. IF they were worth 100m and 50m(for example) or even worth 50m and 20m, then where are all the clubs jumping in to sign them for free?

"Hakan at Inter? I was laughing.. Inter knows the player well, we were following him when I was with them.. I'm sorry for Milan, losing a great player for free.. but I'm happy for Inter, who will have fun with Calhanoglu, while Milan will mourn his passing."

Why does this guy even get interviews. He's a complete failure. A Shit stain that refuses to go away.

This. No way Inter signs him if Eriksen doesn't have a heart attack so then what Hakan?

Would be a good pickup

I find the rumours was 20m + areola for donnarumma in 2019 not 2020, did we even have an offer for Donnarumma in 2020? Areola was valued at 17.5m by transfermarkt. Donnarumma never got offered at 40m even before his contract run down so there you got it. Nobody except ac milan think he is worth more than 40m at his best.  Icon_lol2 Hakan didn't even get a 10m offer at his best. Icon_lol2

I thinking playing 433 with Tonali would work fine. Pobega + Krunic + Bakayoko? as backup. The most important thing for us now is to get rid of Castillejo, Caldara, Conti. Clearing deadwood has always been the most difficult task for past management.
You know what is most frustrating is that we are trying to build legit but then you have the Man cities, PSGs, Tottenhams, Inters and even to an extent Real/Barca playing some other crazy financial game with little repercussions. Makes mercatos and the sport in general a little lame when taken in that context.
Donnarumma and Hakan are worth 150M? LOL, what is Mirabelli smoking man? Even in a good market, those two are maybe worth 70m combined, and that's being generous because Donna's high salary demands and agent would severely limit his suiters.
? Milan are deciding whether to make an offer for Sampdoria talent Mikkel Damsgaard. Milan followed him all last season and are very interested in him. He is considered a great prospect. No negotiations as of now. They are evaluating

The fact Mirabelli has been unemployed since 2018 says a lot. I think he's salty most of his signings are gone.

Good option.  Send them Krunic.

Well, depends on the replacement alternative. Maignan is OK, but who will we bring to replace Hakan?

Inter will buy him easily for 20-30M if his contract is not expired. Other EPL teams may also spend that.

Of /Have whatever!

20-30M ?? Inter would not pay that amount to us! Epl, who knows and now is a moot point.

We will see who replaces Hakan. Ziyech is the current favourite and would be a good get if we do strike a deal.
Laxalt sold officially.

I wouldn't trade Leao for James.
