Buying a player in his late 20s/early 30s for top of market dollars is not the Maldini style of running the team. He usually signs younger players or older players who are difference makers. De Paul doesn't fit into either categories, so I would forget about him. I still wonder if someone like Pessina should be brought back for the No 10 role, just to see how it goes. Maybe he could be the new SMS.

I am not against Pessina wholeheartedly, its just I believe we need someone with a stronger name and better CV there. A player who would fit in #10.

Pessina is not the correct type of player for AMC in our formation. He doesn't do long passes and is not creative enough. He is more of a box to box kind of midfielder. Pioli want to keep Hakan precisely because he is the correct type of player to play AMC in our formation but he just sux too much frequently.
