I had no idea. I'm sure they're trying to sell him outright. But if that doesn't work, they'll obviously be happy with a loan as well during the last week of the window. Especially due to what you said. In any case, we need a clear vision. If we are to continue with a 4231 as the primary formation, then we absolutely must sign another ACM. Brahim alone is not enough. More rumors about the Adli guy from Bordeaux. Does anyone know what's this guy's primary position?

Yea but currently Brahim is the only ACM at the club. The RW situation is far from ideal. For me, it's one that has to be upgraded. BUT, there are at least options. But if Brahim goes down, we'd be forced to change formation because there isn't anyone else to take his spot. So again, like I said..if the plan is to play a 4231 (i haven't seen anything that says otherwise....the Panathinaikos game doesn't do that for for me, even if it was a 442).....we absolutely must sign another ACM. It would idiotic from the management to start the season with Brahim only and be forced into a change a few weeks in if something happens.

"3 or 4 signings can happen on August 31" is what is being said today. Who doesn't love waiting for last minute deals but the current team needs to be together in preseason and gel, it is a pity that the opportunity is missed. I can easily see Adli coming August 31 and Pioli saying he needs time so he doesn't start til October.

Just give me a CAM that is young and can grow. At this point that is the major deficiency. Having Benna back , Giroud and Calabria 100% is enough upgrades over the rest of the field. Diaz just isn’t a CAM. We made due with this squad last year and we can again this year.

if we can get Diaz gaining some more stamina, then i wouldnt go for another AM. the options isco,james,are pretty crap. brahim is younger, has skills just lacks stamina...if we can fix that, we have our nr.10...he is no way worse than kebab

But what happens if he gets injured? We can't go into the season lacking options for our preferred formation. We saw what happened with Zlatan last year. We played Leao there, we played Rebic there. Neither one convinced enough. This is the same. We start the season with only Diaz. He gets injured (or even completely out of form)....and then we gotta scrap plan A and figure out what we'll do. Maybe that's why Pioli played 442 yesterday. Maybe he's already preparing for this. Who knows. But it's not ideal either way. |
