So Pellegri is about to come on loan. No news yet if there is an option or what not. In any case, we've been hearing about Iba + Giroud + young striker, and Pellegri seems to be that young striker. It's easy to forget he's only 20 years old as he burst onto the scene as a 16 yr old. Injuries are obviously the issue. But we'll see.he just needs to be available. It would be a miss if our young striker is less available then the 36 and 40 yr old ones in the team. But I'm enthusiastic. I'm hopeful. There can be a lot to gain with this move. And if it doesn't work out, we'd hopefully have at least 1 of Ibra/Giroud available.
So.....here are the cards at play...
-Florenzi passed his medical and is due to sign his contract. RB secured with him and Calabria. He'd also be an option further up the field.
-Bakayoko basically done. This probably means Pobega loaned out to Genoa/Samp. This means Kessie, Bennacer, Tonali & Baka CM. Imo, this is probably the best CM options we've had in a long time. We are good there.
-Pellegri in for that 3rd striker spot. Means we are all set there...although I'm not as confident about the certainties tgere at all. We can hope though.
I've resigned to seeing Saelemaekers and Samu be the RW options. It is what it is. So I'm hoping that in the closing stages of the msrket, we sign one ACM. That would complete the squad in terms of numbers. We'll see about the quality. It should definitely be enough for top 4 though.
