Summer mercato 2021

If our players are in fact good players, they'll show it on the big stage. We'll have a ton of exposure and their values will soar.

Think back to Juve, I remember in the beginning of their rebuild some of their bigger names were non costly or free like Pirlo/Pogba/Vidal/Marchisio etc., they sold them for good$ and reinvested to strengthen the squad in broader terms. Then of course with winning titles and regularly participating in CL, it keeps the flow going. Of course in Juve's case the stadium certainly helped. I'm just drawing reference to the fact that rebuilding does take some time and I think since Maldini & co have come in, there has been a generally sound but gradual improvement for sure.

The bold part is the point that we need to understand.

Yep. We would all love ton have signed a bunch of top players but we need to be realistic.
Small steps. and the steps we took this season is replacing a money Hungry Giant with a Goalkeeping Pirlo. permanenetly signing Tomori and Tonali who has had an amazing start to the season. at this rate we won't need to sign a replacement for Kessie if we lose him.
We've picked up some great depth. And a striker who seems to have just slotted in comfortably in the absence of Ibra.
Anyone else notice a few of the looks from Ibra after the goal from Giroud?

If we can finally get rid of Samu and replace him with someone like a Corona Plus sign Faivre then I think we've had a good window.

This is how we could finish up

Faivre - Samu

Giroud - Mandzukic

Pellegri - Colombo

Adli - Hakan

Bakayoko - Pobega/Meite

Florenzi - Dalot/Conti

Ballo Toure - Laxalt

MM-benchrumma

Redeemed Tomori and Tonali. Loaned back Diaz.

After the window closes , work on Kjaer, Kessie, Theo and Bennacer extensions.

Not sure we'll get Faivre and Aldi but if we do, surely that would make this window a success. Despite losing two starters for free, we've most definitely improved the squad.

The first one has high chance to go through and 2nd on depend on sales of Samu, 3rd one probably no chance for now.
Bordeaux have accepted a ?10m offer from AC Milan for Yacine Adli (21) - the midfielder stays back on loan with Les Girondins for the 2021/22 campaign as part of the deal. (RMC) @GFFN

Interesting move if true and not necessarily bad.

@AntoVitiello
There #RealSociedad he's trying for #Castillejo . Continuous phone calls between yesterday and today to unlock the deal.

@86_longo
Old Agent Quilon had nearly closed the operation #Castillejo at the #RealSociedad who has changed agents and does not seem to be inclined to accept: developments are expected in the next few hours. If Spanish comes out, the #Milan could close two shots

Hang on, wait! So this FUCKING IDIOT switches agent 2 day's before the end of the mercato!?
It seems Yacine Adli will be signed but stay at / be loaned to Bordeaux for a year.

With Bakayoko is almost a Milan player, our double pivot / CM rooster contains: Kessie, Bennacer, Tonali, Bakayoko and Krunic.

I think this is a move to prepare for the departure of Kessie next season. As the physical ability of Bakayoko and the improvement of Bennacer, Tonali, Adli and Pobega after a year could also cover the center part of our formation.

Of course it would be much better if Kessie stay, in that case we can loan Adli and/or Pobega.
