Here is my Ideal (Yet not Economically Impossible) Mercato for January & June of 2012. Many in other forums have laughed this off, but considering the number of Free Transfers both in and out, it's not completely inplausible. In regards to wages, and the will of the players, it would be difficult, but this squad competes with any squad in the World, IMO.

De Rossi (Free-AS Roma)

Nainggolan (Swap for Paloschi)
Merkel (Buy half back from Genoa)
Tevez: 20 Million
Santon: (Swap for Taiwo)
Astori: (Free- Cagliari)

Seedorf: (Expire Contract)
Ambrosini: (Expire Contract)
Flamini: (Expire Contract)
Taiwo: (Swap for Santon)
Van Bommel: (Retirement or 1 More Year in Milan)
Urby Emmanuelson: (Sell for 4-7Million)
El Shaaraway: (1 Year Loan)

Bonera: (Sold for any Amount, to make way for Astori)

This would be a dream transfer market for my liking. Except, I wouldn't pay 20 mil for Tevez seeing how all the other important players on you list would have come in for free. If Cassano is fit, I would send Tevez back to ManCity at the end of the season.

Many of the transfers are doubtful. For example with Santon, we have never been linked really. And De Rossi, he is too much of a symbol for his club to leave i think.

But if possible I would get De Rossi at any cost. Give Roma one of our youngsters + 10 mil if that keeps them happy. The player is definitely worth it.

And you know what's the coolest part?

If we pull this transfers off, we will once again have Italy's midfield Nocerion - De Rossi - Montolivo - Aquilani....
... just like in the Ambrosini - Pirlo - Gattuso days.

Regarding Scudetto, mzk obviously hasn't followed Juve this season.
FYI, they are so far unbeaten in the league.

I watched most of their games and if they keep up their run,we will have hard time beating them until the very last round.

Juve will be out the title race in February. They are unbeaten, fine, but not for long. The Scudetto is AC Milan's. I am the best pundit over here and I am saying that, so you should take my words & relax.

We have the hardest schedule in January and February, so if someone will be out of the race in February, it will be us. Hopefully not. We have a really hard schedule over those 2 months, we play all the top teams in Italy, AND have Arsenal to think of. By the time they come to San Siro on February 26, we will be so tired I'm afraid we will not be in condition to hurt them. And we are going to Emirates 10 days later. Of course, injuries (and January mercato) will play a key role in the developments of that period. But to say something so stupid, only you can do that.

Juve's February schedule is Parma, Siena, Bologna, Catania.
We have Lazio, Napoli, Udinese, Arsenal, Cesena.

Think about it, then write something stupid. I know you will.

I don't think I want Pirlo back any more. As for Marchisio, it is even less realistic than De Rossi. If we didn't get him this past summer, I doubt that we now stand any chance when he is on fire.

I can't help but wondering how probable it was this past summer for us to get Marchisio.

If the clause in Keita's contract is regarding appearances then he won't be a free. Surely de Rossi won't stay in Italy if he leaves Roma? I'd be shocked if he signed for anybody in Italy other than Roma. Like in the EPL transferring top quality Italian players will become expensive. There are not too many top quality Italian players and as such their value is increased. Luckily perhaps not to the level of England where somebody like Jordan Henderson can be transferred for £20m. Montolivo, whilst not world class is a good solid player and would a great free. Astori again a good solid signing. But DdR won't come and it'll probably be a season or two before Balotelli will return to Italy. Chielini is a great player but will never be sold to Milan, and G Rossi will need time to recover from his injury. It is very important for Milan to keep their Italian identidy but to do so we may have to continue to look at youth.
