There is a significant increase in investment showing the faith of the American firm in the club and it’s future prospects. The report follows with up with the speculation that the son of Paul Singer, the head of Elliott Management, Gordon Singer is being tipped to join the board of Milan in the coming months. The report notes that the fund is considering Milan to be a long term investment and a quick turnaround sale seems to be off the table.

Gordon Singer has reportedly grown attached to the Rossoneri club, attending and being a part of multiple events. In fact, it was Gordon himself who spearheaded the initial investment into the new stadium set to be completed by 2024. After hesitation to go ahead with the 1.2 billion dollar project from city rivals Inter Milan, the Singer family decided to proceed regardless of whether their cross city rivals will take part.

Recently, an event took place the day after Milan's first home Champions League match in more than seven years. That ended in a 2-1 loss to Atlético Madrid that left the Rossoneri fuming at refereeing decisions following the sending off of Milan midfielder Franck Kessié and then a stoppage-time penalty for Atlético.
“I invited the referee from last night’s match here but I don’t see him,” Singer quipped.

Finally there is Junior Messias who arrived at Milanello with an injury and is struggling to dispose of it, and Ordine writes that Milan could ‘perhaps aspire to something better’, thus raising questions about the summer recruitment.

Franck Kessie is heading for the exit door as things stand because a renewal with AC Milan is not imminent.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) takes stock of the negotiations for the renewal of Franck Kessie. At the moment there are no developments as each party remains in their respective positions, which means a standstill of sorts has been reached.

Milan have offered an extension until 2026, with an annual salary of €6.5m net per season, while the Ivorian and his agent want €8m. It is a distance that today seems unbridgeable.
