Winter mercato 2022
Next year my dream midfield would be:

Renato Sanches, Boubacar Kamara, Sandro Tonali, Ismael Bennacer, Yacine Adli

I would sell Kessie in January and send back Bakayoko in the Summer.

This midfield would be young, would have great stamina, creativity and would be one of the best in Europe in 2-3 years time.

I think the reason is defensive ability.
@RudyGaletti
#JorgeMendes offered #RenatoSanches, #Vitinha and #Palhinha in a discussion with #ACMilan regarding Rafael #Leao's renewal.

We know about Renato but the other two are interesting profiles. But the main point about a Leao extension is very important.

Milan have reportedly secured 16-year-old Paraguayan talent Hugo Cuenca at a cost of €400,000.

I thought this already happened, but anyway.
An article on FI says we won't get rid of Kessie in January. We will also probably loan Gabbia and let go of Conti and Samu also possibly Pellegri.

Why let Kessie go for free ? Pellegri will surely get more chances once Coppa starts and we'll see if he can last a game or two.
I can understand if Kessie won't leave in January. The player himself can easily refuse to leave. All he needs to do is to hold out for half a season more for his dream contract. From the management's perspective, it is also understandable because they may not want to disrupt the season if we have a shot at Scudetto (that's assuming that Kessie will display professionalism like Donnarumma did last season--and to be honest, I have strong doubt in that), and perhaps they have some hope that Kessie will change his mind during the second half of the season.

I know that I will trust and support our management on whatever they decide to do.

ok. so....
Vitinha is young and talented. Definitely one for the future.
Palhinha however is a machine. Defensively solid. high work rate and very good on the ball. Think a much more talented Kessie. one that wont slow down play but will actually speed it up. The problem would be his cost. 60m release clause and other clubs looking at him. Would likely cost 40-45m if we can get in early before Real make a move.

On a perhaps unrelated topic, I am amazed at how many talents Portugal has, yet they (the NT) can't play to their full potential. What is not going right?

Looks like our primavera-team isn't doing very well despite our focus on youth. We need someone to help them...

I would fire Giunti. The money we've invested (Roback, Jungdal, Bjorklund,  Makengo  and Kerkez) in bringing international talent to go with Alesi and Capone and we've won 1 match. This has to be on Giunti. We lost our last match 5-1 to Verona.

The manager is shit.

Santos coached Greece for 4 years but other than what's he done ? All due respect but Greece is at least one step behind Portugal. Greece are always solid but on paper Portugal SHOULD  threaten in most tournaments.
