Bad news : Tomori likely misses CL.Rebic probably out until mid-January. Good news: Tomori and Maignan are expected back for our next Serie A match vs Sassuolo.

Leao working overtime again...
We really need a reinforcement in attack, someone who can play multiple positions. We lack backup at AMC, AML and AMR

Rebic being out is a f..... bad news for us. He is the one who balances things on the pitch on the left side. He contributes big time offensively and also defensively Theo is more comfortable with him on the pitch also . Leao has upgraded much this year, the only difference is that Rebic helps back also, Leao is more offensively minded coming from the left. Both are an added value for us

Rebic is made of glass, always spends significant parts of the season injured. Likewise Calabria.

Saelemaekers can give Leao a break on the left. As long as Messias stays healthy, he can play on the right in Saele's position when that happens. I get we're trying to sell Samu...but it's weird how he's pretty much been frozen out. He can actually be useful in this period as he'll give us another option on the right while we use Saele on the left.
I'd love to get Sanches. Rumors really ramping up on that front. Not gonna say whether he's better then Kessie. We'll see about that...but I will say that he's way more dynamic. So we may lose out on some physicality, but we'll definitely move towards being way more dynamic as Kessie really is a 1 dimensional player. Good one at that, but still, having dynamic players in the midfield allows you more options with formations, tactics, etc. Sanches's movement all over the midfield alone can drive people assigned to mark him crazy. Anyway...it's not gonna be a cheap transfer so I got my doubts that it'll happen....especially with PL sides (Arsenal) lurking as well. What may help us is that Sanches was already in the PL and had somewhat of a horrid time there. So maybe he's realized that football doesn't quite suit him and as long as our offer is compatible, he may choose the Serie A path. On Faivre...he looks to be a good player from highlights. Never seen a full game from him. I don't like all his comments and attitude about pushing a move. But, oh well. All footballers seem to do this nowdays. In any case, Faivre or not...we badly need a RW. We are a loopsided team. Our right side is a black hole in terms of production. Imagine if we had another Leao on the right. Those don't come cheap, I get it. But it's what's necessary if we want to step up a level. |
