Winter Mercato 11'/12'
I guess my last post was unread, or unworthy of comment.....but I will reiterate that I think this transfer saga is far from over.

Man City have a player on £200K / week, whose contract they are unwilling to rescind, for whatever reason....(financial, pride, whatever), and who clearly wants to leave.

The player, through his agent/part owner (or whatever) has stated that he only wants to go to Milan.

Milan have made several attempts to basically tweak a loan offer with options to buy, at a price close enough to Man City's asking price, which Man City have (for whatever reason) decided that they wont accept.

No other club has made an offer to buy outright, a known troublemaker....Inter has the same loan w/ option to buy, though at a slightly higher value than ours, and I am not aware of a concrete PSG offer...

Milan, through the press, have made it clear that we have to sell before we buy....fact or fiction, u b the judge...

Pato's flirtation w/ PSG, real or imagined, PSG's offer, real or imagined, is only (IMO) a distraction, or a ruse, that Galliani (again, IMO) is playing to our advantage very well....

Basically, what I think will happen, is that Man City will realize that its better to lose face, let Tevez go where he wants, (as opposed to letting him go for free), and negotiate a deal with Milan.

This move by Galliani, to walk out of this last round of meetings, to me is a master-stroke of negotiation...and will either fail spectacularly, or work spectacularly. Either way, fasten your seatbelts, cuz it aint over, and its gonna be spectacular!

I also firmly believe that the faceto face with Tevez in Rio was to firm up the agreement, and for that camp to understand that we were gonna play real tough with Man City...and for them not to worry, regardless of what is said in the press.

Feb 1 is still some ways away yet.
I LOVE MILAN

Mine too Big Grin but what I don't understand is how come is he keep receiving his weekly salary when clearly he 1) refused to play (the reason he's paid for) which I believe is in itself a breach of contract and 2) went AWOL (hasn't trained with or separately from the team and returned to his country without permission) the last three months, again another breach of contract.

City's punishing him with a hefty fine was expected but point 1&2 show that Tevez has no good intention whatsoever to respect his contract, hence like you, I couldn't understand either why they haven't rescinded the contract yet.

As for Pato's involvement in this saga, Galliani's moves, and how these all gonna end up, I'm of the opinion that we tried to kill two birds with one stone only to get their c**p all over our shirt.
per l'amaro e il dolce
Oh, and this move by Galliani also put pressure on Pato, who now had to firmly tell the press that he doesn't want to leave...after going public with his differences w/ Allegri.....smooth Uncle Fester. Smooth.

In his last quote, Galliani ended it by saying that we could make another attempt for Tevez soon, that can happen. And there are new reports about Tevez who keeps waiting for Milan.

Actually, I think the reason that they won't rescind the contract, is that they cannot sue him for the transfer fee they spent for him, as he had nothing to with that transaction, and with FFP rules coming into effect, they cant just throw the money away like they may have been willing to do in the past.

They are trying (foolishly IMO) to play hardball with (certainly compared to them) experts in the transfer business...

I just hope this wont strain Pato's relationship with the club. Like, Berlu ordering Allegri not to put him in the team, trying to force him to leave.
January 2009: members of the management from City came to Milan and left like idiots after what happened with Kaka' ...

January 2012: Galliani goes to Manchester City and makes them look like idiots (I don't think we are the idiots in that story, they want to sell Tevez more than we want him, we just try/tried to take profit from that situation) at the end of the day ...

I think we can forget about Balotelli coming in Milan in the next few years (before the end of his contract) !! Big Grin
