I think if Maldini wasn't signing, he would have come out and said it. For this reason, I think it's just a legality of ironing out contracts, etc.
Maldini had that interview with GDS and said a lot there. Very open about continuing or not and what the reasons would be. He didn't sugar coat anything. He than met with Cardinale for 3 hours and hasn't said anything since. Maybe the reason is that there were demands that he needed Cardinale to follow up on? Who knows!? But I do think it'll be fine in the end.

Yes Maldini was clear in his interview, he wants to invest and wants the power to make decisions. Something is going on, otherwise we wouldv heard about the extension of his contract, and some deals wouldve been made official.
Rumours say PsG wants to hijack the deal for R.Sanchez, if we cant finalize them some other teams will try for them.
Things have to get sorted out asap!!
