He could be frustrated if no certainty/budget but those amounts are not right.
reza, the market is what it is. It certainly doesn't give a f*** about what we fans feel is right or wrong. So we can cry that it's not fair or whatever, it won't change anything.

So if we want players like Renato and Botman, we have to cough up what's asked or we risk losing them. It's not even about FFP, because in this case I don't think it's FFP stopping us from raising our offers to at least 80% of the asking price. It's just our policy.

So we will keep losing players. If it's not PSG, it will be a EPL team or Real or Bayern. Good players will always attract these clubs with money to spend. It is what it is. We pay or we stick to what we were doing - getting the likes of Salaemakers, Diaz, Messias and Giroud.

As for Maldini, you can't really blame him, can you? It's his name and reputation, plus the club's reputation which he cares about, that's on the line. If a Director like Maldini can't spend €25m on a single, what's the point of staying? Honestly?
This Sanches deal is dragging on for months now, shouldve closed it much faster. If Maldini doesnt have the power to close it faster other teams will hijack our deals. Contracts of MMM should be signed soon so that everything is clear.
Longo: At the moment there is no real strong plan B because Milan has always had a plan A: Renato Sanches. Work that has been going on for 7 months.
Enzo Fernandes is plan B it seems, he has a 20m release option and looks like an interesting player.

Yeah, I think he should be brought in regardless.  He is the more typical DM that Kessie was.
As discussed ,Sanches can play various roles.

At the risk of been unpopular,  I would move Krunic on as well. He was solid in the last few game's but I worry that it's forgotten he was pretty much trash before thar and was 5th choice for a reason.

I would hope for a midfield of :Tonali, Bennacer, Sanches, Fernandez and Pobega as our core CM/DM rotation next season.
Maybe promote Robatti from Primavera too.

In the case of Sanches and Botman it is two teams distorting the market. These players have been available for months but we haven't heard of any 'credible' reports of other teams - other than PSG and Newcastle - linked to them.
Regarding Maldini, he is right to expect a big or bigger budget, but Serie A hasn't changed from the time he became a director. Inter won the Scudetto and still had problems, the comparison to Inter may not be 100% valid but it is also not 0% valid.
Most concrete offer Marcelo has received so far is from Milan. Milan’s bid is €3M/year contract, half his salary at Real Madrid, which is unconvincing for Marcelo. Milan will continue to insist on signing him and it’s not excluded that they make an improved offer

For what? Theo back up? A rumour maker remembered that he was asking to take a picture with Maldini so decided to make a link Tongue

True. I agree. But seriously how big is Budget to be considered "too big" for a club that just won the Scudetto and qualified for the CL for two years running? My thinking is a Director at Milan asking to spend (hypothetically) 25m on a player, and maybe a total of 70m-80m for the whole mercato, is not being unreasonable.
