Budget-wise still not near what I was expecting back in May but happy we are getting CDK

No way we have 20M more after CdK. Don't think we will have double digits after him. I expect loan signings with options/obligations in the remainder of the mercato.  Which is not surprising. So far we've bought Kjaer, Tomori, Florenzi, Salad, Messias like that. Diaz and Bakoyoko will hopefully not be included to this list.

Not sure what is our budget, before we got CDK we have something like 10m gain from transfers so we have spent 25m? I believe we still got 25m to spend on a CB and MF. A loan with option/obligation will be good.

My 2 cents on Krunic: sell.

He can be handy, and he did help the month going towards the Scudetto but so he should.  At the end of the day these are mid-table teams he played well against.
I agree with Nefremo,  he is not Milan quality.
We all kinda of shudder when Krunic is going to come on, again he brought himself time with his last month  but we used to fear him coming on for a reason.
Can anyone imagine him playing against Bayern, Real, Man City ?

Are Pobega or Chukwuemeka* worse than Krunic? Probably. But we're hoping they would grow.

Frattesi? I know some aren't sold on him, the next Poli or Bertolacci.  I get that. But those guy's never got to the NT, Frattesi is. Also, like Mourinho or not he usually has a good eye for talent. I would prefer Frattesi over Krunic- not to mention we still need Italians!

Frattesi is a good boy, hard-working, and gives his all to the team. But that is just the basics of a typical Milan player now.

Nothing official witth Sanches and PSG yet? I have a gut feeling that we will snatch him. We still need a player like him. As much as i like Benna, he clearly miss the physical presence of Kessie. And to be honest, he has not shown the Bennacer from 2020 yet. Yes injuries and Covid has taken a lot from him, but he is not shown that level OVER TIME. Thats the key word. Yes some great matches, but i will see him on 2020 level.

Sanches for 15 mill is a bargain. Take him, Tanganga on loan, and Zieych for 10 mill with an obligation/Option, and "Wee Goo".

I can see us take Ziyech on loan towards the end of the window. He'll add quality for sure. But than what do we do with Saele? A sale wouod be ideal (if Ziyech comes) but there's been zero talk of him leaving.

I think we can get away with 1 signing between CM/RW. For example, if Sanches comes (doubt it at this point...but just an example), than we wouldn't really need a RW. I'd play Isma, Sandro, Renato midfield behind a front 3 of Leao, CDK and Origi/Ante/OG. Diaz, Saele, Jr can all be options and allow us to have more width or a classic ACM if necessary. Back up CMs to be Adli, Pobega, Krunic (and Bakayoko as I doubt he'll leave).

If we can't sell Salad, then we should send him on a dry loan.

Diaz will play (if he does at all) mostly as a winger this season probably. He couldn't beat Krunic for the position, impossible to beat Adli and CdK (if the guy comes).

So Diaz will leave at the end of the season (since we're not THAT crazy to pay 30M for him or less), Saele will come back from dry loan. A mediocre winger goes, a mediocre one comes.

Before CDK, we were already as strong as last season, so after CDK, we become visibly stronger.

For now, I give this Mercato 7 out of 10. If we count Adli as a transfer, then it is 8.

Schira reports : Roback seems like he is going to Switzerland on loan with option to buy. Milan will have a buy-back clause.
