Im in love with Kalulu. He is close to world class already, and have massiv room for improvement to. In my eyes he is clearly more talented than Tomori. I will explain why:
1: He is safer with the ball. Tomori can be a little stressed sometimes and do minor mistakes. Its very seldom you see Kalulu do that. He is cold as a cucumber i almost any situation.
2: As som already has mentioned, Tomoris press could be a little to much, and leaves us exposed. Kalulu is more cautious and choose more wisely when to push or pull.
3: He is more agile than Tomori. Remember Correa 1-1 against Tomori in our painful loss to Lazio? He could not follow his quick movements. We have not seen Kalulu exposed like that.
The reason everyone is talking more of Tomori is because he costs a lot of money, he is english, he is more visible on the field, and also of the field, and have a more passionate figure. But if i was an analyst from City or LFC and the club needed a new CB, i would go all inn for Kalulu. No doubt. He is also younger than Tomori. Market value of Kalulu should be at least the same as Tomori, but you know, englishmen and all that...

I love both, both are still young and will still improve. Imagine how good they can become with more experience.

Imagine Maldini having a decent budget! We couldve got Ziyech, Enzo and Botman + CDK. And it wouldnt even be extremely expensive, we wouldve been fantastic! Team would be complete.
Its a real shame our budget is so limited, we got the CL money + some sales and a lot of new sponsors + sponsor deals, + almost nothing spend in januari.
I wonder if the budget will be different when Cardinale has taken over. I can understand that Elliot dont want to splash enormously when they are going to sell, but maybe our winter mercato could be exiting, especially if we are underperforming.
Sidenote: Kvicha looks like a million for Napoli. They have found gold there i think. We were close to him for a while ago.

My dream Mercato would have been:
Origi, Ziyech, De Keetelaer, Sanches, Adli, and Botman
Origi, De Keetelaer and Adli came, between Botman and Sanches, the dutch was not a priority because he can be easily replaced by Diallo or N'Dicka, but the Portugal would have been a must after Kessie left. He was almost irreplaceable price and quality wise and would have been a quality jump over Kessie. The only plan B would have been Enzo, who was gone because we unnecessarily waited for Sanches.
I think there are no more quality midfielder out there who can be a good replacement for Kessie, not only for price but for quality wise as well! So I would skip to add a mediocre or very young player, and try to work on a star midfield signing for next summer.
I would concentrate for a defender (Diallo or N'dicka) and now I think Ziyech is a must for a loan with option to buy! He is the only one who could erase the pain we couldn't signed Sanches and improve our team quality wise with also solving our right wing problem!
I would use Bennacer, Tonali, Adli and Krunic for the two midfield role.
I am very disappointed that we extended with Pobega, because I think he is an average player, slow with piecemeal movement, nothing special and with no potential! He is definitely not Milan material!!!!
I am still saying our problem is that we have lost 4 starting caliber players (Donarumma, Calhanoglu, Kessie, Romagnoli) for nothing in the last two years instead of collecting a minimum 100-120 million euros from their sale.
With that money we would have been easily sign a quality winger, midfielder and defender!
See our competition, Inter sold Lukaku, Hakimi for enormous money last year, Juventus sold De Ligt this year, even Inter will sell their Primavera star for 15-20 million euros and what have we done, sold Hauge for less money than what Inter will get from Casadei...meanwhile Roma signed the only quality midfielder for loan with obligation to buy for peanuts...They got Wijnaldum, and that was the reason why Psg could have signed Sanches...no comment!

Nobody want Calhanoglu and Romagnoli for free. Come on, I can't believe people still can't see the facts. Kessie and Donnarumma are never going to be sold since they just want to go on a free transfer to get big salaries.
Casadei is a prodigy while Hauge was a cheap buy we pick up after playing a game against his team. I don't know how people try to compare them.
From (Donarumma, Calhanoglu, Kessie, Romagnoli) only Kessie is starting caliber.
There is no way Donna can start over Mike or Romag have a chance with Kalulu & Tomori & Kjaer healthy. Adli & CDK & even Diaz show that Hakan is the trivial past.
If CDK settles and delivers on his potential, it will fix our attacking 3rd problems. The addition of Origi and a healthy Rebic is also very important to note. We looked unplayable going forward against Udinese, and that was with Leao sleepwalking for 95% of the game.
Not upgrading the right wing is disappointing, I agree. It's our lowest quality position. It WAS our lowest quality position (along with ACM which we've added quality to with CDK), we knew that, everyone knows that...so not seeing any moves there is disappointing. BUT, other improvements in the squad can make up for it. And at this point. I look at the RW as "the balancing" position in our formation. There is still time for someone like Ziyech, but I'm not holding my breath.
The loss of Kessie, imo, doesn't hurt the starting line up. Bennacer - Tonali is just as good as Kessie in there with 1 of them. Actually, we are probably more dynamic on the ball. Where Kessie's departure hurts us is the overall squad depth. I just simply don't trust anyone else to play in big CL games other than Sandro and Isma. Adli was signed, yes, but I'm not even sure what his best position is. Maybe he is a LCM/RCM? I have hesitations about him (at this point) playing as one of the pivots. We'll see.
On Pobega....i have said it in the past. To this point, in his (limited) time with us between friendlies last year, this year and vs Udinese....i see nothing above average. But he is our boy. From our youth system. I am rooting for him and hope I am wrong. If snything, he needs to come in good vs the likes of Udinese, Bologna, etc.
Good post nefremo  . But i disagree that no Kessie dont hurt the startin line up. I saw one really big vulnerbility in the game with Udinese, and it was a structural one. First of all: Theo had to take care of all the defensive work all by himself, because Leao did not track home. And here is the problem. With the Kessie- Tonali pivote, Kessie was essential to cover Theo and also Leao because we know that Leao is not the best defensive asset. With him, Theo could stay further up, and Leao did not need to think so much of defensive contributions. Our whole left side benefited from this. I trust that Tonali can do the same job, but its needs to be done. Our left side is fantastic, but also a liability, not because Theo is bad defensively, he has become a monster, but because of mostly Leao. Love the guy but he needs to take more responsilbility defensively .
