One of the most underestimated things in football is confidence. I should better say, arrogance. This belief that you can get past any situation, the belief that you can beat anyone at any time. It allows you to play freely and without fear of mistakes. Look at Liverpool for example. Bad start to their season. All these doubts from media.....they come out, win 9-0. This isn't because they are 9 goals better than Bournemouth. But it's because of this sense of self belief and arrogance they have.
I'm bringing this up because our team seems to have acquired this after the title win. You could see in the way they've approached this new season. Twice down in 3 games, didn't lose any of them. There was no desperation in any of the games. Just handling business. It's as if no matter what happens, the squad believes that it'll turn out OK at the 90th minute.
I don't see any other team in Serie A with this swag. Juventus had it for a long time and won 9 strait titles. Things have now changed. And even though Inter has a good team on paper, they don't play with this sense of belief in themselves.
I guess we all opened our mouths too soon !
I know Roma and Inter just beat top relegation contenders but they didn't mess with their lineup too much and got the job done.

We haven't said that Scudetto is already in our hands, we are just talking about building a team.
Among the top 4 teams: Milan and Roma have a solid foundation and keep on building. Juve and Inter are fixing their own problems, but they are still stronger on paper.
Regarding the lineup, it is true that we won Scudetto last season by fielding almost the same lineup in the last 10 matches. But for now, we must rotate as much as possible because there are CL matches and a tighter schedule for World Cup.
So better prepare with some testing, and expecting not-so-good results. I am not very angry if we lose the derby.
Bremer with a pull and trip from behind at the edge of the box. No yellow card. I bet the referee will than give someone a yellow in the 70th minute for a dumb foul at the center of the field.
Not saying he is protecting Juventus. Just saying, the level of refereeing in Italy is atrocious.
Anyway....Fiorentina the much better team. Juventus is just so bad. A bunch of individuals put together to defend and hope for a goal from somewhere. Allegri really is an anti-football joy coach. Crazy, because Galliani brought him to Milan because he displayed exciting and attacking football at Cagliari.
Udinese is pulverising Roma. 4-0! As i said before, Roma is to weak from keeper to midfield. No tempo. You dont dominate with a team which is so unbalanced. Matic- Cristante as a CM pairing.. Not good.
Agree. They can somehow sneak into the top 4, but they would need a lot of "favors" from other teams for that. Milan, Napoli and Inter and top 3 teams. Atalanta currently is getting results and they are getting better and better. So maybe they will be the 4th. But it's hard to tell. Juventus and Roma will be in a battle tiwh Atalanta for that spot imo. Lazio is starting to pick up on Sarri's ideas in this 2nd year with him...but they lack quality.
