Summer Mercato 2022
Icardi loan to Galatasaray, football is something.
What a terrible graphic for him
Rafael Leao and his entourage have laid out the demands for his contract renewal. Leao has a dispute with Sporting Lisbon worth €19m and the sum should be paid half and half between Leao and Lille. However
in recent weeks Leao and his entourage have been clear that they want the fine money to be paid in full by Milan.
I am obviously not a lawyer and not a European lawyer even if I was one here in North America but even as a good will gesture Milan should have nothing to do with he, Sporting and Lille. I would be very surprised if Milan does this, again nothing to do with being nice or not just being prudent. I bet some lawyer will advice Milan that doing this will open up some future liability if a player has a dispute with not necessarily with his previous team but the team before.

I think what Leao wants is basically have Milan give him the money to pay for the fine, not that Milan cut a check to Sporting for it. Since the case is already closed and the settlement is final, I don't think we are going to be liable for anything even if we do pay it for Leao

Good point.

I wonder how tax purposes work for such a thing, if half of the 19 million is what we pay Leao then that's not small even with zero tax.
He is asking for ~7 over 5 years. 35 net, which I believe would be 44 before tax. If we 'help' him then we are effectively paying closer to 9 than 7. Right? That's super generous.

I think he is basically asking for a sign on bonus here. So that money is going to be a lump sum payment to him to sign the deal. Not sure our policy on sign on bonus is usually for renewals though and thats quite a nice sum for a sign on too
Desperately need one probably two forwards next season.

Ibra finished
Giroud close to finished
Origi a joke
Rebic always injured
Lazetic Raw

Will need to spend serious money and not cheap out as usual.
A striker and a right winger are priority for next summer. Maybe even januari.
I would say January is mandatory for both positions.

I did wonder why we loaned Colombo and kept Lazetic , at least Colombo hit goal of the month!
Worth noting Pellegri has played every game so far for Torino. Typical he was never fit here so we would take a proper look at him.

Although, Ibra back in January will be like a new signing.
