Another injury worry has arisen for AC Milan as Ismael Bennacer is due back in Italy having left the Algerian camp, it has been confirmed.

Bennacer is barely a footballer. Spends more time off the pitch injured than on the pitch. Does not score. Does not assist. Would sell and buy a better midfielder.

Bennacer was my favorite player of ours a couple seasons ago. I think he has enormous quality. The problem is that he is injured very often and barely gets opportunity to showcase it. But beside all that, the end of the line for me was him deciding to go to AFCON this season after being out for 8 months. He should have stayed at Milan and continued his rehab process. Instead, he went with the NT, didn't train regularly, has gained a bunch of weight and keeps getting injured because he is simply unfit. He looks heavy and sloppy. Doesn't move well, you can tell he's out of shape another prepared physically.

So yea, F him for going to AFCON. I'd sell him this summer and get a proper CM/DM to play with Reijnders in the middle.

I would keep Bennacer around one more year, make sure he gets his fat butt in shape and have a good season before selling. We would be selling at a low point right now for someone who can be salvaged. But yeah, his constant injuries is starting to get annoying

Bennacer has the potential to be one of the best DM around Europe. Love the guy, but is time to move on. He is on 70 games missed in 4 years...thats massive. And 160 played. Crazy.
Calabria has about 250 played and 125 missed.
Maignan has 105 and 45 missed...
