Summer mercato 2024

Ya OK! If Fofana and Zirkzee are signed in the coming weeks this is already a B+ mercato with them two alone. If we can keep Theo and Leao, sell Bennacer and offload rest of our useless fodder. Sign one more promising midfielder, a good right back (Emerson and Thiago are both great options).
ALSO, Hummels agent said his family lives in Monaco and he wants to be a fast commute from there. Pretty sure Milano is 4 hr drive/train ride also many many links that he will come.

GG.

Guys I'll be honest out of every single midfielder out there right now who isn't well known and 100m, Fofana is probably literally the most desirable prospect there is. His performances were so solid he's a guarantee, he's young, french & an absolute beast. He's like a Kessie on steroids.

IMHO, just Fofana worths a B+, because that means the management addressed our biggest problem: the hole between mid and def. Some sly AM/SS like Mkhitaryan keeps exploiting it and we lost countless of matches against Inter and similar opponents.

Our defenders are not bad, they are actually very good, but they can't do much when being esposed too many time. After Scudetto vs after last season, the same defenders go from unsellable to sellable.

Last mercato gave us Tiji and Musah, two players with many energy but they still need time for the task, as even Kessie needed 2+ seasons. But Fofana with his toolbox can immediately fix our problem.
Today there is talk of bringing in Rabio as a free agent. This would be a phenomenal reinforcement, he is perhaps the best and most consistent player of Juventus in recent years. An excellent player and would be a sure starter. If they bring in Rabiot and Zirkzee, it will be a great mercato.

Absolutely right. We have some decent creativity in midfield and many many box to box midfielders. When I really think about it, other than Bennacer who can play as a CDM our other midfielder are all b2b style midfielders.
We've missed Kessie in our midfield, period and Fofana is a similar type of player only I think higher potential.
Is Rabiot a DM though? I always thought he was more of a CM who has some defensive capabilities. If we sign him, who does he play over? I also question whether we can afford his wages. I thought our front office takes their wage cap pretty seriously and wouldn't want to jeopardize it for someone like Rabiot. Don't hate the player or the deal, just question if we can actually afford it
He is not DM. I dont belive the story, i think is just for taking the maximum money from Juventus.
Sesko staying at Liepzig, at least we won't hear made up rumours about him.
Juve will bring Douglas Luiz. How they managed that?

I wouldn't bet on it. Grinundwech

It also means Manchester United and Arsenal could reignite their interest in Zirkzee. And they can easily pay €15m to his agent and a higher salary than we can.

Edit:

"According to Sky Sports, Manchester United are currently leading the race to sign Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Red Devils will face competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Serie A giants AC Milan and Juventus, however, they remain confident about landing the player who has a release clause of £34m in his current contract which expires in 2026."

I don't think it's shocking that Juventus can get a player from Aston Villa...

Also it's been discussed sending Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior the other way.
