As for Simic, we'll see what happens with him. I'm not that impressed from what I've seen so far and I don't think he is ready for Milan. But to ask for an increase of playing time OR be sold, is a little shitty.
Why? What would you do in his shoes? Agree to rot in Serie C? Come on, even I (as Milan fan) wouldn't do that, so why on earth should he?

If I were in his shoes, I would sign a 2 year contract, play a season with Futuro and hope I play well enough to make the step up the following season. See how much playing time I receive and if I’m still not happy, my contract runs out anyways and I leave
We are all thinking as Milan fans. Try think "independently", as someone who's not attached to club in any emotional way. No reason to stay.
Especially if you have offer from club as Anderlecht, where you have chance to play in CL as well... you can't be serious to choose Futuro and Serie C?

I think we should remember that both Simic and Kerkez joined as 17 and 18 year olds, it's not like they are rotting in our system forever. As I have said 1000 times now when we sign any player, including teenagers, we should understand more about them, their character should be evaluated just as much as their playing skills.
It's not like we are 'neglecting' these players in primavera.
Example:
Simic Aug 25, 2022 Stuttgart U19 ----> Milan U19.
It's not even 2 years, come on.

It is not, but their current age is time to start playing or to move elsewhere... to prevent rotting until they turn 20+. Just look at those as Colombo, Maldini etc. 22-23 years old and not anywhere near real chance. Just ping-ponging from one to another useless loan. If they truly don't have quality, than that's entire new problem, because we are signing bad players. Than do something about it. If we have bunch of "youngsters" and none of them is "ready"... When we are expecting them to be ready? When they're 25?
Look at those Spanish kids, Pedri, Lopez, Williams and who not... Yamal at age of 17 valued at 120M!!! 50 games for Barcelona last season. And he's not only one there. Lopez - 20 years 42 games, Balde 19 years 30 games, Cubarsi - 16 years 24 games, Fort - 16 years 10 games, Gavi 18 years 15 games, Roque 18 years 16 games etc. Some of them have 2000-3000 minutes, some 500-1000, but they're all getting chance. How many of those do we think would get chance here? They would be "Futuro" for next five years

I think it's very reasonable from Milan to want to develop him in Futuro. But as I said, if Simic feels that's too low of a level and wants to go develop at a higher level, Milan should consider this.
If I was in Simic's shoes, as a 19 year old, I'd want to stay in the environment that made me the player I am today. At the very least, I'd want to keep the connection and not cut the cord. Transfers are risky. For clubs, but especially for players. I would want stability so I can keep developing. So if there is an opportunity to go to Anderlecht, I'd actually push for that to be a loan with an option. I'll sign an extension with Milan and go there on a loan with an option to buy. That would also give me the option to leave Anderlecht and come back to a known environment in Milan if things don't work out like I thought they would I'm Belgium.
But whatever. Looks like it's all done and he's about to sign tomorrow. 3m seems like a low fee for an exciting young player so that's the regret for me at the moment. But no, I don't think we've just let the new Nesta walk out the door. I don't think Simic has shown anything special for us to cry over.
if i'm simic, and being granted position the 1st team with a team like this, i would choose to leave, his talent isn't any better than thiaw or kalulu, so why should he stay at futuro and not playing with the 1st team. even gabbia not being given the chances he should have and gabbia isn't a bad defender per se, so i think simic threatening to either give a space in the team or sell him is correct imo, look at kerkez, he is good now, but is he gonna get any play time with theo at the front? of course not, look at terraciano, he got the talent to play regular football at mid table club, but at milan he just rot on the bench, i say he will asked to be sold in december if he isn't being given the chances.

Most extreme example, Slavia game, 5 goals and one player of advantage - we sub in "experienced" players instead of youngsters. Or we lead 3-0, so why Kjaer and not Simic or Gabbia? And than they should stay and "wait for chance". Which chance? Like Kalulu? For everyone else to get injured in order to get a chance? No, thanks. Just get out of here and never look back. Hopefully, Fonseca will change something in that department.

This is a good point. But my view is more geared towards Simic and FOR Simic. You asked if I was his shoes, what would I do? As I said, I would think of my development. Not necessarily "wait for my chance" to play for Milan...but more specifically, sign an extension and then go on loan (to Anderlecht). That way, if things don't work out, I can come back to an environment that I know and environment that knows me.
For every youngster that rushes to go away because they are frustrated at the lack of chances (not just in Milan, but in many other clubs too) and does well after transferring......there are 10 more youngsters that went away too early thinking they are better than they are. Only to bounce from club to a club a end up in lower divisions for the remaining of their careers.
In recent years, there's been this expectation that if a player at 18/19 years old doesn't play regularly at the top level, they either suck or they need to get out immediately. I've seen ever single Primavera UEFA Youth League game....and I can say, imo, Simic is nowhere NEAR ready to be Milan's CB. Although, I agree that in the situations you described, he should have gotten minutes. Then again, does playing 25 minutes in a game against Slavia where we are 5-0 up really do or mean anything?
I can get on board with him not "wasting" a year in Serie C. Anything can happen. Some butcher in that division could literally sideline Simic for a year. So yea, I see why he wants to play higher level football. That football can't be in Milan though. Not with his current quality. So I don't understand why a loan wasn't pursued, rather an outright sale. As I said, I think a loan would have actually worked best FOR HIM.
