True. I think the main issue is his salary. I don't think we are expecting any transfer fee realistically. 

At least that would get one year's salary covered (though we may still have to pay partial.)

Also true. We should not expect a transfer fee. The guy is hopeless and nobody would take over that whole salary so it's only about cutting losses for the remaining duration of his contract.

Are we implying Anderlecht can pay higher salary than us? That's barely believable, Cardinale or whoever. I mean we were penny pinching long before Cardinale but a player deciding to move to Anderlecht because of money is not logical.

I don't think it's money and there is zero chance Anderlecht can pay him more. It's purely playing time at a higher level. We don't think he is ready and want him with Milan Futuro. He on the other hand wants to play higher level. I think one way to keep him is probably to pay him way more than Anderlech. Example, salary over there being 600k and we would need to double that to make him stay. It becomes a matter of principle at that point too.

Either way, "lowing" one of our best Primavera players from a group that made it to the Youth League final, for 3m, seems underweight and just badd all around.

Well, to be fair, all of them are mediocre players (we'll see after happens with Simic).

Simic is not salary issue. That's 100% true information, not from media. It's simply playing time. No money could keep him here. He saw many young players ruin their careers because of rotting in all kinds of primavera's and lower league clubs for too long, and he don't want that kind of "future". He asked for increase in playing time here or to be let go elsewhere.

Yeah, thats sound fair. Just look at Colombo, just jumping from loan to loan....just sell the boy, he can be a very decent striker in Serie A.

Colombo is a midtable player. He's had opportunities in Serie A. Many of them. But he's just not a top level player. A club like Milan shouldn't rely on a player like Colombo. We've made the right choices with him and I'm sure we'd gladly sell him. But, in line with his performances, there isn't anyone willing to pay. 

As for Simic, we'll see what happens with him. I'm not that impressed from what I've seen so far and I don't think he is ready for Milan. I think it's fair from the club to want to develop him in Milan Futuro....or if he thinks that's too low of a level, then to loan him to a higher level club (I'm sure there'll be interest). But to ask for an increase of playing time OR be sold, is a little shitty.

If Simic had 3 years left on his contract, we could probably loan him out or sell him with a buy back clause. But he had 1 year left, so we would have had to extend his contract first to make that happen. Then if his request is to be sold, it's not much we can do as he's clearly not as attached to Milan as we would have liked to.
