I’m done watching any transfer news. It’s making me sick. Monaco raised the price for Fofana because Furlani mishandled negotiations. This has to be one of the worst transfer windows in my lifetime. All our top targets, which were good options in my opinion are all off the table now and like always we are going for plan z. This team might actually be worse this season. And broke Gerry thought Maldini was a problem. Americans should stick to American sports.

They are setting Fonseca up to fail. His appointment was hardly popular or exciting. But at least give him the tools to succeed. Just one signing and US tour starts next week. 

This management is looking clueless, inept and out if its depth.

Well, the team can't be worse, since the only change that's happened so far (in terms of personnel) is Giroud - Morata. I can also be Galliani and say Bennacer is like a new signing.  But on a serious note, we started past season with with Krunic as a starting DM, so yea, I'd take a fit Bennacer over that any day. 

Anyway, this team finished comfortably in 2nd place last season and it looks like we'll be keeping all the starters. We can also probably all agree that the reason we were out of the Scudetto race so soon was a combination of Pioli's stupidity (someone we've since replaced) and Inter's incredible run (which is something we can't control). 

The real frustration for me is the fact that we are SO close to forming a top level team. 2-3 pieces away. Yet, we are struggling to get that done. 
1) We needed a goal-banging CF, but we weren't able to get one. Morata is more or less a younger Giroud in terms of production that we'll get up top. Not sure we've improved, although we'll definitely get a bit more movement and speed. 
2) We need a quality defensive midfielder, but we are struggling to get one.
3) We need a CB or/and a RB (depending on what we do with Kalulu). Again, we see links to both, but we are unable to close. 

Lastly, I was hoping we'd finally make 1 big splash on the market (for at least one of those needs I listed). By big splash, I mean a real leap in quality. But I've made peace with the fact that this is no longer THAT Milan. We don't buy Weah, Sheva, Nesta, Rui Costa anymore. But damn, you're telling me we can't even buy the likes of Fofana/Pavlovic too? What is happening???

Inter is still Inter and there’s also Atalanta to worry about. We will struggle to finish in the top 4 this season and when that happens, the Curva Sud will call for Gerry’s broke ass head.

Every year these same comments come up. Team X hired this coach, team Y signed that player, Team Z had a poor year and we expect them to bounce up, etc, etc. 

Every season has its unique circumstances. Last year, ainter was not supposed to be as good as they turned out, yet we saw what hsppened. Napoli was supposed to be the biggest Scudetto threat, yet we saw what happened. Atalanta was supposed to be back to midtable because they kept selling their best players, yet we saw what happened. Roma was a shoe-in for the CL, yet they fired Jose midway through. Milan was supposed to be Napoli's buggest Scudetto rival, and we know how that turned out. 

So yea, what if I said: 
"Roma had an unusual 5 months with DDs who has so far been nothing but a mediocre coach and chances if them sustaining that (or improving) are just as high as the chances if DDS and Roma going back to what they were 5 months ago = mediocre."
Or 
"Inter had a 1 in 20 year season and they only became champions because the rest of the competition had a horrid time and couldn't get it together".
Or
"The Juventus squad is mediocre and their midfield is utter shit, they only finished where they did because of Max's anti-football tactics, but now he is gone and is replaced by someone who has only 1 good year or managerial experience behind him".

Of course, I'm just talking shit. All the above could be wrong. But as I said, the year could turn out different ways and each season is unique.

Imo, we are well positioned to finish in the top 4 even with the current squad. We actually have the advantage of keeping the group together...and again, I think Pioli in large part held this team's potential back. We'll see if Fonseca can change that. 

But I think with the addition of those 2-3 players in our starting lineup as I mentioned earlier, we could be heat and head favorites for the Scudetto with winter and leave the rest to fight for a top 4 finish.

Valid points. I guess we will see what happens but personally I don’t see us doing well. Yes we’ve kept our team together but it’s a brand new system so they will need time to adapt. I hope I’m wrong. I also hope we can get the 2-3 players we need

So Monaco deny raising the asking price for Fofana, but instead clarified the demands from the beginning according to CdS. So many conflicting reports. I hope we can close a deal soon...

Juventus will submit their first official bid for Teun Koopmeiners as soon as Matias Soulé deal will be signed, likely to be next week.

Juve will also sell Dean Huijsen this week and then bid for Jean-Clair Todibo.

Personal terms agreed weeks ago with both players.

The Fofana situation is just very weird. It doesn't add up. Even if Utd and Atleti are now interested, why would either one of them pay 35m when they know their biggest competition for the player (Milan) wont go past 20, at most. Also, Utd is in for Rabiot and if that works out, they'll walk away from Fofana. Not sure what Atletico's situation is, but I don't see them paying 35m for Fofana in the current situation. They are likely closer to Milan in terms of valuation and ability to spend anyway.

Im really baffled at how for e.g Juventus is able to strong arm Roma into paying about 30m for Sule.. and is able to sell Dean Huijsen for about 18-20m. We cant sell anything or anyone not really important for more than 10m..? How..? How is Thiaw valued at around 30m when he is a regular player for us.. but Huijsen who barely features is valued just 10m less..?

How utterly shit quality do we have outside the starting 11..? And how the hell do we always end up signing more of these kinda trazh every damn year..? FFS.. either buy ur target or save the money.. we really need to stop these Plan B , C & D bullshit.. thats how we end up with trash like frodo toure and that belgian nugget from liverfool..
