Summer mercato 2024
I feel like other leagues don’t offer as much for our players because they know the financial state our clubs are in. They low ball us knowing we’ll accept just to be able to afford to keep the clubs afloat. You’re telling me Guehi is worth more than Calafiori?

I don't think anyone will pay €100 or more for Leao.

Btw, the cost of Alvarez is €75m plus a further €20m in add-ons. That's easily €95m!

That is of course a lot of money for Alvarez and not in our wildest dreams could we pay such an amount for anyone. But I quite like the player...

They low ball us, because we low ball everybody.

Guehi has more experience at a high level than Calafiori. Wink

But no, I'm not suggesting Guehi is worth more than Calafiori. I'll leave that to the buyer and seller, they will decide what the players are worth to them. Comparing player's prices doesn't matter.
Transfers within the EPL (EPL club to another EPL club) are always inflated. They overpay for each other's players and keep the money circling within their own league rather than pay it to outside leagues. Of course, you'll always have big transfers that come from the outside. But just pay attention to the moves within the EPL and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Of course. We know. It's been like that for a long time.
Bad news. Man United pulled out of negotiations for PSG's Ugarte and could again turn attention to Fofana.
Fonseca planss to deploy and mould Musah in the pivote. He has a lot of good qualities, but it needs a lot of work on tactics and passing game to make him a great player there. But if he can improve those attributes, he could be a exiting prospect.

Maybe thats one of the reason we wont give a penny more than 20 million for Fofana.
Makes you wonder why we even bother going after some targets. I'm sure we would've lost Morata and Pavlovic if there were any serious contenders.

The way this club is being run ?
I've just seen some videos of Pavlovic, included the battle vs Saka in EURO.

He could be our best CB. What I like from him is the proactive mindset, he can carry the ball vertically when there is space, the physical prowess combines with good anticipation helps him reaching the ball before the attacker.

Of course, he is not impassable like the trio he admires (Maldini, Nesta, Stam), but with the current set of CBs, he is surely an improvement. And maybe deploying him in DM position is an option, like Desailly.
Chiesa offered to Milan by agent. But he wants €6m per season from his next club and it's an obstacle for all Italian teams.
