Summer mercato 2024

I said it when Fonseca was hired, Leao should be sold in this window. 1: He dont fit into Fonseca possesion tactics. 2: He is a liability for the whole team in defence as you say. What we could have done with a cash injcection of 100-120 million euros for him..

I still believe in this season but no one was paying that sum for him. If Fonseca can go back to that possession based soccer we played before, Leao is less of a liability defensively. If we keep playing like the year is 2023 and Pioli is coach, we are screwed.

I just can’t believe we played a certain type of way in the preseason then  Completely abandon it during actual games. I know it was just preaseaons, but what the hell.

All of us knew this guy is shit. It's the reason we got rid of him in the first place. Why did it take Fonseca 2 months to realize this and why didn't the management step in back in July when Fonseca was praising Saele? I guess maybe we didn't have any offers for him? But it's just silly. The coach proclaims publicly how much he likes him and wants to keep him. He performs bad in 1 game (in which he played as a LB for half of it), benches him, and a few days later we're trying to get rid of him any way we can. Can't make this shit up even if you tried

Is this Fonseca or management? At this pint our transfers are looking ridiculous. We need another/starting CAM as Chuck can’t cut it as a starting Rw. We need depth in the double pivot and Theo still has no back up.

Honestly I'll sell if a good offer comes in.

" A member of the Al-Qadsiah management addressed the Bennacer rumours and denied that they are in talks: “We have already filled the eight spots for foreigners over 21, so we are not working to sign Bennacer.” "
When Bennacer signed his recent contract with 50M release fee, I thought that is for keeping him, as his value cannot reach that.
Now we demand 40M for him? I think 25M is the right price.
Asking 40M for Thiaw is the same.

We keep haggling (and quite successful) while thinking that other clubs are dumb to not know anything about our players?

Milan fans for you [emoji16]

That's why it's ironic when we complain that we are poor at selling and agree to options-to-buy with clubs instead of obligations. We have thrash! That's the reason. We actually think other clubs aren't smart? [emoji851]

So we can accuse the management of acquiring bad players, but we can't accuse them of not being able to, or poor at selling.
Looks like Saele and Tammy Abraham may swap. Not sure why as that would put us at four strikers but only ONE player who can competently play CAM (or none as Pulisic has to play RW) and LB.

Am I in a computer game? Are we changing formation? This is unreal.

Big change on swap deal between AC Milan and AS Roma few minutes ago.

Tammy Abraham and Alexis Saelemaekers to join on LOAN move, no longer on permanent transfer.

Deal almost done.

Ninth loan. I call this very ridiculous, just my opinion of course.

At least in this case it's a good thing that Abraham is just a loan. So we can send him back when he's been injured for 2/3 of the season...

Mattia Liberali as backup CAM.

Well, I see it a bit differently.

The only potential risk in this deal would have been Abraham's fitness issues, and we got him without any financial commitment. So we have basically eliminated that risk.

1. We filled a need and got a striker who's more than good enough for back up, who can even challenge for starting when fit and healthy.
2. We released a player (Salaemakers) who won't play much anyway.
3. No financial commitment, no penny spent.
4. We didn't enrich our opponent by paying.

If Tammy did well come end of the season, we probably renegotiate to make the move permanent, if he tanks, he goes back and we aren't stuck with another Origi situation.
