Not going to lie, this feels like the beginning of another 10 years of struggle like the Banter era. Tare and Sarri might be ok hires, not home runs but maybe they are ok, but the key figures that created this shit show are still around. Furlani is still somehow safe from it all despite being possibly the biggest culprit, because...American owners love their bankers I guess.

For next season, we are likely to see an exodus of key players and be replaced with some 15/20M youngsters who may or may not be able to contribute next season at all. If we also fail to get to CL next season, which is highly highly likely, we are going to be in dire financial state and won't be able to invest even if we wanted to. Very sad for us to spend all those years in the Banter era, finally climb our way out of it, and then through sheer stupidity fall right back into it.

Berlu indeed had it, at least in the end of his era, but Berlu was "insane" even as a business man. Gerry is calculated wall street leech, not much delusions amongst those kind of folks. I think it's like a "side-gig" he don't care (much) about. If it brings "few dimes" - good, if not - it is only important that it doesn't go into minus. I mean, he attended, how much, 3 games since he bought club? Doesn't sound like someone who cares about sport or club.

True, I guess that's what a mutual fund/investment type owner means.

If we are going into another banter era can we at least start it with Camarda type players? Cardinale might save a few more euros too.

New Lazio or Roma. Look at type of people he allegedly targets. Tare. Spent 10 or so years at Lazio - did nothing. They had two "excursions" into CL, rest of the years they levitated between 5-7th place. I mean, if you're good at your job, you have to do at least something during entire decade, to create a "generation"... all Lazio had is occasional "superstar" who pulled their season here and there. SMS or Immobile etc. To find just 2 gems for such a long time is not success. It's rather "blind chicken".
If you already decided to go with "limited funds" mode, then at least find someone who proved he can work in those conditions. Not with dude who achieved nothing working with limited resources.
This is mediocre settling for mediocre... because they have no ambition of being more than mediocre...

With Tare very likely to be appointed, Milan will target Italiano as their primary target for coach due to the tension between the Albanian and Sarri.

It’s almost worse to appoint Tare considering Furlani is not convinced. It’s only adding to further tension and toxicity for the first team. Furlani and Cardinale will tell Tare who they want and Tare will have to get them. Not at all his own vision for the team. But maybe his vision is what leaves Furlani unconvinced. It also bothers me a touch that even Maldini wanted Tare.

These days a coach that often (or always) insists on playing a high line will probably not work at Milan.

Furlani stated that the club would still decide the transfers. So, Tare could provide his ideal list, and the management could go against his wishes and go elsewhere. If this were to be the case, his appointment would be pointless.

Only good is that Tare is "big fan" of SMS and this one is leaving with "desire to return into Serie A", so "old sparks" might do the trick... only unknows is how much he deteriorated since then...

SMS already had fitness issues when he was in Serie A. I can't even imagine now. When I say fitness issues...I mean the dude was blowing gas at 70th minute like he had run 2 full marathons already.

If we're bringing a player back to Italy, I'd rather that be Verratti. Another dude with fitness issues, but more on the injury side. Which you could argue is way worse. Lol
But for me, he's a profile that we are missing. A true director that can handle the ball under all situations. Pressure or not. This team shits its pants when pressed. It's always "dribble out of trouble" or pass the ball back to a CB.

Anyway, I think the squad needs just a few touchups. I personally don't think we meed an overhaul. We just jeed direction from up to and a coach with the right ideas.

Edit: thinking back on "overhaul vs touchups".....man, I think we need a lot more than jist a touchup lol. 
1) RB - can't believe this is still a position we haven't fixed. Jimenez can be there, but he's not RB. He's better as a RWB. But maybe he can step in. Surely not THE solution the current moment.
2) CB - we need a CB, plain simple. We have a lot of "supplementary" CBs. But none of them are backline leaders imo. None are top class CBs. 
3) We need a midfield director. 

Then...depending on departures, we might need a LB, RW/LW and (at the very least a backup) ST.

It didn't prevented him from being best midfielder in the league for years... imagine what he could have done without fitness issues?!
At the end, why not get both? Freebies, no transfer fee, so can "cover" if they require a little higher salary. Surely better and cheaper than buying another RLC who will contribute nothing for 30M+6M 5 years salary. They also bring experience from which younger players can and will learn. Those poor Musah and Bunga-Bunga have nothing to learn from RLC & comrades. From SMS and Verratti - yes. Keep Raindeer and those 5 are more than solid midfield. Fofana and RLC we can sell and invest into striker.
