Yeah just promote Torriani and let Maignan back him up next year. Worked with Dollar, maybe Torriani is the next one. Even he turned out to be another Abbiati I’d be happy.

I would NOT let him play if he stays. I would sign another GK and let Mike sit on the bench. Let's see what kind of wages he's offered from other clubs when he roots on the bench for 3/4 months.

Their performances v Spain tonight were dismal, but that's their level now. Sooner they are gone the better.

I won't complain if that happens. I also completely agree with your opinion (expressed in an earlier post) that if we want to be a selling club, be a good one. Sadly, I just don't see that happening with this inept management. Also, maybe, part of me just doesn't want us to truly turn into a selling club.
Imagine if we actually do that, with WC coming up, I bet that Maignan and Hernandez would find buyers in January and I am sure that we can still recoup 20-30M from them (who knows? that's not impossible). But that kind of reputation is a two-edge sword, with the negative can be to deter future players wanting to join. We are already at many disadvantages: state of Serie A, lower salary, routinely missing out on CL, incompetence of management. I am afraid that any more bad news/rep may kill Milan off completely.
It sucks to support Milan these days. I wouldn't even complain if we simply play all our youngsters (to save money) and heck, even go back to Serie B, but this slow self-destruction is very torturing.

If it is only 10M, I wouldn't sell. Even if just out of spite, irrational, but I don't want to let Chelsea have their way. Screw them. That 10M is what Real Madrid paid for Trent Alexander-Arnold whose contract runs out in a few weeks.
I would keep him. Play him or not, I don't care. If what nefremo suggests happens, not gonna lie, I think I will be happy.

Both of you talk about Torriani. Trust me, I like the kid a lot too. Tall, agile, and most impressively, he looks very composed. I would bet on him.
However, I have one question/concern. If he is that good, how come that he hasn't played much at all? I saw that he only played 6 games last season for Futuro. Anyone knows? (sincere question, as I really do like this kid as my gut feeling, and believe that the management should have faith in him; after all, I think they extended him recently to 2030)
Not sure how good Torriani is. He looks to have a good future, but no clue if he's ready now. As for why he didn't play much at Futuro....that's because he was warming the bench with the Sr squad. Many of the Futuro games fell on the same days as the Sr squad's. And when they weren't there qas travel/etc that didn't allow for many opportunities where players cpuld sit on the bench one day, and play fod Futuro the next. This is also the reason why Camarda didn't have that many appearances also.

I guess that's a possible reason. Is there any way to know how many times that he was called up to senior squad? Camarda had 18 appearances with Futuro--not a whole lot but still 3 times as Torriani last season.
I take solace in that Torriani is among the few that receives the extension to 2030, which must be a sign of recognition.
