Dev, if that article is to be believed i think it can only be a good thing. Our tradition of staying loyal to certain players to keep them in the squad, whilst commended so we keep a 'family' atmosphere, has clouded certain people. A lot of our squad players offer us nothing now and should rightly be let go in the summer.
It's an overhaul that's been long in coming. Hopefully Allegri will have backing from the board to do this and to buy decent (not all free transfers) replacements where necessary i.e. players who will compete for a first team place and not be just another number.
Something else that interests me is our links to wingers/wide players. Granted there have only been 2 or 3 so far (it is only March after all), but it seems like a possible move away from our normal transfer targets. I personally think that a player like Robben will be of huge benefit to us. In tight games, players with pace, dribbling technique and crossing ability can make the difference. With a giant up front, crosses to him should be another option for us but how many of our current team can actually put in a decent cross? Not many. Having a 'wildcard' player could be what we need. It would certainly make us less predictable!
I remembered that Leo said the same thing last year and he got canned, let's hope that won't be the case for Allegri. Even though I am not a fan of him, but having the guts to state that must be given credits.
As for having wingers, I think it is just media talk unless Milan is planning to sell one of Robinho or Cassano.
As for Kagawa, I would rather Milan spend those money on Honda instead. Too bad that Milan missed out on Nagatomo.
