I actually have a strong feeling that Milan will end up with both Ganso and Lucas as replacement for Slowdorf, Pirlo and Cassano.

i'd be happy if we end up with one of Pastore, Eriksen, Lucas Marcelinho or Honda...i think that we also need a vice ibra who can score 10-12 goals all season, who accepts bench role and contribute the scoring amount...
Thats what Cruz or Crespo did when they played with ibra... World class Left full back should be our number 1 priority, also considering we need to strength the central backs with Mexes and Astori... Then focusing on midfield, signing 2 quality midfielder, instead Van Bommel, Seedorf, Pirlo...one trequartista or CAM and one complete midfielder or a Pirlo esque player like Nuri Sahin. Sahin would be a bargain for 6 m euros... i'd prefer someone like who can do a box to box job like Ramires from Chealse, very strong player. Sandro on the other hand would be a nice replacement for Gattuso. A beast with good tecniqual skills... We still link with Bale and now we linked with Van Der Wiel, i think we dont need him as Abate is doing well. Abate just need a nice Abate who can put pressure on him to improve, isla could do that job. He is doing pretty good job at Udine and declared his dream is a Milan move. İnler is a quality DM. i'd sell Flamini if we have a chance...(Long term plans for Mercato)

Durante: "Milan leaves Ganso and goes for Lucas Marcelinho"
Ganso's agent is in Milan right now to discuss terms with Milan and Inter. Lucas is more of a Kaka player, very explosive, good at dribbling, and 18 and has room to grow. Ganso is one of those talents that come once every 15 years, he truly understands football and knows how to make his entire team tick. There will be a big difference in price between the two players. It is rumored Ganso does indeed have an Italian passport but we couldn't tell for sure despite the sources that available to us online. The sources all told us that Robinho had a Spanish passport but at the end, every one of them was wrong because we used that spot on Robinho (or.... it could be a lie by the management to cover up some mistake they did - maybe they actually spent that spot on someone like Ely or Montelongo?). I truly hope and wish we can sign both these two, but that indeed is a dream. If we are to sign any of them, and that Pippo is returning from injury, we definitely have to pass up on Balotelli this summer and sell Cassano. Personally, I would sell Pato if a decent amount comes in (~45-50m), and invest that into Neymar who will be better than Pato and get Ganso with a combined price of 35m. Pato's taking too long to develop, he's terribly inconsistent, he's injury prone, he's not showing any signs that he's going to take the team on his shoulders. We've been waiting for him to be that person for 3 years now and infact he's been regressing more than he's been improving. Sacrfices need to be made to run a financiably stable club, and Pato is the one I would pick to go as he's the most valuable asset that in my opinion, is not unsellable.

So you're saying that selling a player who is still 21 years old and with the potential to be one of the best players of his generation is a good idea? And with 45-50M you think Milan can rebuild the whole squad? With the prices players are being transferred these days, you're lucky if you can get one player with the same ability and potential as Pato. Forget about both Ganso and Neymar for 35M, let alone rebuilding a whole squad. We can always sell Ibra, Cassano and Robinho for that matter. And with some contracts not being renewed, there you have a financially healthy club.
Pato's still 21 years old FFS! He's got the talent. Just wait and see. If he doesn't improve for the next couple of seasons then Milan might as well sell him. Selling him now will be a big mistake.

I agree with everything you said in previous few Posts, except for saying we don't have a small player with good technical skills. What about Robinho & Cassano? Do you not call them small, technically skilled second strikers? For that reason, Verdi won't have any place in our lineup as is...

I honestly would take Neymar signing before Ganso.

It seems most on the board agree on a lot and there's a trend that's quite interesting forming here:
Posters seem to want * A Left Back at all costs * to release some older players with contracts expiring * Ganso, Lucas, or Lamela (but not Kaka) * Neymar, even if it means Pato gone * Cassano to go * Mexes & Astori as backups to our current CB's It's very interesting but that's what I've gathered from reading the past few pages. It really seems Ganso will go to Inter, I do not think we will get him. Perhaps Erik Lamela or Lucas Marcellinho will be a good ACM instead but will they be ready to step into an ACM (starting) role Next Year??? Ganso can, but I'm not sure about the others... I think we can all stop talking about Neymar as that will not happen unless we sell Cassano & Pato which won't happen. I have not heard anything about a Left Back recently, but it's still very very very early....

Additionally, when people speak about summer spending they should take into account the amount of money we'd need to spend to get Ibrahimovic and Boateng. The Swede won't be cheap! Another spin on this is that if we don't win the league, will Ibrahimovic want to stay with us or will he be seduced by the big money in England? |
