Long time no see in this thread. Last year two players promoted to the first team, Merkel and Strasser. This year Desciglio is the man. We can add also Ganz and Cristante. This year could be the year of Calavano and Boateng to be promoted to first team but unluckily they got injured when the season started.

Goals, technique and creativity: Simone Andrea Ganz has all the right ingredients for a modern centre forward.

A.C. Milan is in the player’s DNA thanks to his father Maurizio who, after scoring four in the title winning season of 98/99, also gave the youth sector a young man who seems to have inherited his father’s skill in front of goal.

It was his love for the club which made him choose Milan ahead of the rest in the summer of 2008 when he made the move from Masseroni Marchese, one of Milan’s five football schools in the city.

He moved up from the Allievi Regionali to the Allievi Nazionali where he scored more than 30 goals in all competitions. He made the move to the Pimavera side in 2010/2011 (without playing for the Berretti) where despite his young age (born on 21 September 1993), he scored more than 10 goals and was the only player to score in all competitions. His goal against Cittadella from De Sciglio’s cross. The player is growing game by game and every so often he has evened trained with the first team.

This year, the young Ganz has scored 15 in 19 games (1258 minutes played), or one every 85 minutes with four doubles (against Udinese, Brescia, Vicenza and Cesena) and a hat trick (against Udinese). At the Viareggio tournament, 1 goal in 3 games while he got 2 in 4 in the Italian cup against Cagliari and Novara.

He’s right footed striker but can use the left as well as he showed against Udinese, Varese and Cagliari. His goal against Udinese really stands out! H’s a strong header of the ball as well but with Comi by his side, a real menace in the air, that side of his game has yet to shine.

His performances haven’t gone unnoticed by Allegri either. He made his debut in the Champions League against Bate Borisov taking Robinho’s place and became one of the five youngest players to play for Milan in Europe’s top tournament. The others were Primavera team mate Cristante, Bate, Pato and massimiliano Cappellini, brought on by Arrigo Sacchi in Milan-Vitocha on 6 October 1988.

In two weeks time, he’ll be playing in the Final Eight. Who knows, he might give the team another title just like his dad Maurizio.

I remember seeing Ganz play once (BATE Borisov). He seemed intimidated and could barely move his legs. It was quite disappointing and didn't bode well for his Milan career.

Don't worry my friend. There are still Kingsley Boateng and Patagna (both forwards) to show what they can do when they are give the chance to play with first team.

I have never heard of Patagna, but Kingsley Boateng impressed me VERY MUCH with his confidence. I watched him play in a couple of pre-season friendlies and immediately my eyes were wide open. It is too bad that he suffered a major injury last season, otherwise, he might have got his chance to shine.

Yeah, Boateng impressed me too. I watched him when he played with Allievi when they won the competition last season.

Petagna played as striker in Allievi with Boateng as supported striker (wing forward). I think I read somewhere, a big club in Europe (MU or Chelsea probably) were linked Petagna although Petagna never get a chance to play with first team. I think, Petagna could be starter for Primavera next season seeing some forwards could leave due to their age (Carmona, Comi and probably Ganz). Ah yeah, he is still 16 years old (clas of 95), similar with Cristante.

rumour says we're also keen on Verratti? I thought we already have one in Primavera? Valoti ?Veloti ? How's that kid doing? he was hot prospect when we got him , wasnt he?

You mean Valoti? He was promoted to the first team this season (2011/2012), players who are listed in the Milan first team players.

He was said as hot prospect but not like Verratti or Shaarawy who both played games in Serie B before moving to Serie A club. Valoti didn't feature in Serie B IIRC.
