This way, he will be able to say that Maxi Lopez is a champion from Barcelona, that his blood is red and black (could be true, at least this guy tried his best when he was given a chance) and that as a consequence, he's a perfect new player for Milan and we don't need any other striker ... This way, just imagine the amount of money we would save !! Damn, I'm speaking and thinking like Galliani here !!
Maxi Lopez was reported to feel rejected by us and he said he doesn't mind joining Juve; clearly his image is going down in my eyes...

One of his agents :
"For Maxi Lopez, there's a need to look at the possible players leaving Milan. We need to know if Ibrahimovic and Robinho will stay. With the mercato, everything can happen. Nowadays, it's hard for the clubs to use the option to buy the players on loan, but it is not excluded that the negotiations could start again after some weeks. What Maxi said about Juventus and Roma have to be balanced/weighted. They asked him about the possibilities, the player simply replied, but that doesn't mean there is any negotiation on course. His future will mainly depend on what want to do Catania."
Another agent said :
"Maxi Lopez is a strong striker and as a consequence, a lot of clubs are interested. We will see what Milan will do, we wait by taking a look at the eventual changes in the deal. Concerning Inter : I have had no contact with the Nerazzuri for him."
Looks like the guy still hopes to come back to Milan ...
Goal.crap creates quotes by translating their own way !!

Now I lose respect on Lopez. Sometime I wonder do players have pride anymore.
Yarmalenko is truly a talent we can't screw this up looks like a great ball player
Barbara Berlusconi
She's angry ...
"If it's true that we get about 40M, and if it's also true that Milan, because of the weaker team, doesn't qualify for CL, then the decision to sell Thiago Silva will be useless and disadvantageous/unfavorable."
Paolo Maldini being quoted as an answer to the rumours reporting he is the one who personnally contacted T. Silva to convince him to sign to PSG :
Quote:"Io non c'entro niente e non lavoro per nessuno e anzi spero che Thiago Silva resti al Milan. Cederlo, invece, sarebbe un segno di debolezza".
"I have done nothing and I don't work for anyone, and I hope Thiago Silva will stay in Milan. Selling him, indeed, would be a sign of weakness."
Put Maldini and Barbara at the head of our club ...
One should not speak ill of the dead.
So stop laughing at Juventus !
Maldini has denied any involvement with the Thiago Silva transfer. In all honesty, I never thought he was involved anyway, doesn't make sense as he doesn't work for PSG nor do I doubt he would do such a thing to Milan anyway. Leonardo on the other hand...
On another note, Maldini's made it clear that selling Thiago is a sign of weakness from Milan. This follows Boban's comments that Milan's policies have changed in recent years and that Berlusconi should remember what Milan meant in the past. The links to these are here (sorry, it's in Italian on milannews):

This falls in line with what I was saying yesterday. Maldini says selling is a sign of weakness, while I say the damage is already done with Galliani going to Paris to negotiate. Actually, why in the hell is he going to Paris? The PSG directors should be coming to Milan if they want to buy.
Boban's comments fall in line with my opinion of us losing our principles and that Berlusconi's turned his back on the very ideals that brought him success at Milan.
The insanity also continues, as Barbara Berlusconi, who might I add is one of the directors in the club, is quoted by Sport Mediaset basically saying that if it's true that we sell Thiago Silva for 40m+ and we fail to qualify for CL next season as a result of the squad being weakened, then this whole scenario becomes pointless and detrimental. Given Braida yesterday said "we're not selling Thiago", I'm guessing this whole scenario has left the management completely split and at odds. Basically to me, it looks like Berlu and Galliani decided to go behind everyones back to pull this deal off.
Add to this there are major doubts now not only surrounding Thiago, but one of Ibra's representatives has said that if Thiago leaves, then there's a chance Ibra leaves. Cassano has said similar things yesterday and Boateng hasn't been quiet either, basically saying he hopes Thiago stays and to lose the world's best defender is hard. If Thiago leaves, I wouldn't be shocked to see Boateng hand in a transfer request. What does that mean? Not only do we lose many key figures of the past from the club this summer (Rino, Pippo, Nesta, Seedorf etc), but we lose the current spine of our side too.
I'm not sure what to think at the moment. It's not just us fans who are in an outcry over the whole situation. Nor is it the current group of players either. Former players and stars are also making it clear this is ridiculous and even some directors are speaking out about this in such a way. Quite honestly I'm not sure if any good can come out of this now. Either we sell Thiago and risk the consequences that follow, or Galliani rejects the offer. Do Berlu and Galliani think they'll be some heroes if this happens? Somehow I can't see Galliani coming back to a hospitable environment whatever happens.
Finally, there's Thiago himself. Let's say the deal does fall through and he returns, then what? I can't imagine he'll ever get the same respect and admiration he had previously. After all the talk of being like Baresi and Maldini, he's turned his back weeks within saying these things. Luckily for him, he's been quiet and therefore there's always the possibility to try and spin the story to make himself look good, but his agent's comments suggest that they aren't innocent in this whole affair.

This might be a conspiracy theory, but what if this is one of those Berlu's moments where at the end he will come out and say, screw you Leo and the world, Silva and Ibra are here to stay..... Then the media will be like Berlu is a great man.....we, fans, will feel like we just won the CL.....and won't complain about lack of funding or signing players....
Or from the comments of Barbara, this might be Berlu's way to show Galli, Braida and others mgt that Babara is the boss from now on, by letting Galli and co to strike a deal with PSG, then Babara will come out and stop it and states this is non-sense....Silva and Ibra and whoever will stay. Then one or more of Galli, Braida and company will be fire by Babara for even attempting to sell Silva....Babara will then spend funds on players to strengthen the team and everyone loves Babara, she then truly become the new owner while also kicking out daddy's sidekick and puts in her own people as GM, AGM....
You might think the 2nd scenario is a joke, but I actually seen 2 different companies pulled this off in my line of work. As were family businesses that got really big, but the founder/dad is aging and pretty much into retirment, he wants his kids to run the company but he knew some of his senior staffs won't like it, thus they called my company for M & A or find a buyer to takeover.....But at the end of the day, kids win, senior mgt out, and my company made huge money for doing pretty much nothing.
Did not see Dev's post while writing the above, great stuff, just something I want to add.
1. Berlu have been way way too quiet during this whole affair.
2. As I mentioned in scenario 2, maybe this is a way for Berlu to cut Galli and let Barbara runs the show with Braida being the loyal right hand man. I won't be surprise at all to see that Galli is having too much control for Babara to act as owner.
3. I think if Babara comes out the winner and do spend money on quality players to better the squad, all will be forgiven. From players to fans, as the villian aka Galli will be out of Milan too.
4. All Silva needs to do is fire his agent and said I never wanted to leave.....
The rumour is that PSG and Thiago have been in talks for the last 2 months ... If it's true, then that means Thiago wanted/wants to leave, as simple as that.
On Calciomercato.com, they made an article on the "Berlusconis war" ... Saying how Barbara is totally against her father this time. They end their article by writting that Leonardo and Ancelotti try to help Milan by buying Thiago (financially help Milan, of course, they get the best defender in the world in their team too so they help themselves too), and that Fininvest asked Galliani to get as much money as possible during this summer ...
If the last part is true, that means this sale (and the quotes like "Thiago Silva will stay for sure") was planned, that if there are sales of other players, they will be wanted by the club too (well, at least Galliani and Berlusconi), and that the consequence could be the sale of the club at the end of the season, because nobody will buy the club right now, that can't go that fast, except if there were deals for the last few months ... Which doesn't sound likely.
One should not speak ill of the dead.
