Fans of Barclays Premier League clubs could receive a huge boost from an unlikely source as it has been revealed the Spanish government plans to introduce a whopping 56 per cent tax band for top earners.

I was just thinking to myself, if ibra and silva deal does go through and its for the apparent 70million fee..

Wouldn't it be great if pastore + 35mln was the deal.
-25mln for tevez
-10mln for dede
invest, or not in a 10mln midfielder

we'd really only spend 10mln out of our pocket this transfer market, but i think the goal in the first place to sell silva and ibra is to save money so i dont think that'll happen

We will not re-invest the money we just got back from the sales for anyone.
Galliani will say we have 4 strikers to play two positions, and that since we won the Serie A last last season, we have a squad full of "Champions"

Your numbers for transfers are all too low.

Dede for 30 Mln more like it (Because they know we have money, and they know we want their player - also, his buyout clause from his new deal is set at 28Mln. Euros )
Tevez would be something like 40 Mln (plus we lose our height advantage).
No mate, we aren't getting any big name signings because their price just doubled for Milan in the market. Everyone knows about our money, they all want some piece of it. Plus, they will want the money up front.

And judging by the fallout from the sales (this and that player wanting to leave) It wouldn't surprise me if we started the season without Cassano, Boateng and Robinho as well, meaning we would have to split any earnings from the sales more than 5 ways to buy back any quality.

We are as screwed as it is now mate, thats the truth of the matter. Shades on, dark times are coming

Plus, with all the quality players gone from the squad, who would want to play for Milan now anyway, when they know they have no chance in hell to win anything?

Whatever happens, if they go, or if they stay, I feel cheated...

I remain a Milan fan, yet now for the first time in a long time, I will not be looking forward to the new season...which, at the end of the day, means I spend more quality time with my family. I can go to the beach, play ball with my 7 year old son, and other stuff...take my long suffering wife to the movies maybe.

So maybe I should thank Berlusconi for bringing me closer to my family after all!! 'Cuz I certainly won't be stressing myself out watching Milan lose to Merde, Jube etc etc.

Doesn't make me less of a fan, just less of a fanatic, and a better husband and father.

I know, i really am too positive because hopefully it brings good luck to our transfer campaign (if there is one at that) but trust me you'll see me a lot more negative once the mercato comes to a close if we haven't done anything good. Like warro said also, on the positive side of things I don't have to lose sleep over anything they do next season because I'll know before the season starts that we won't win anything, though i'll always be a milan fan i just wont be so supportive next season.

I am actually looking forward to the beginning of new season, just so that we could throw all the summer madness behind. Of course, if we don't reinvest properly, once the new season starts, I am afraid that I would be hoping that the season be over as quickly as possible.

I may sound like a broken record, but even from a pure financial perspective, selling Silva and Ibrahimovic while keeping Robinho and Mexes (and Pato too, in a way) is in no way the best solution that we could have.

I am sure that if Galliani has the ball to sell Ibrahimovic or lower his salary, and get rid of other second-tier earners (those with net 4Mil per year), and leave Silva alone and untouched, all would have been solved smoothly. I could not imagine that Silva or his agent would even demand a raise a few months after his recent renewal. Boateng probably would keep his mouth shut too.

And they had to sell Silva.

Poor Acerbi came to play with the world's best defender, and who knows, he may become Milan's best defender in the new season along with Bonera. I wonder what is going through his mind now.
