Well for one, Cassanos' skill is undeniable, he has a great touch,creativity and accuracy to boost about but as far as everything else.. He's overweight, completely out of shape can barely run and cannot last more then 60 minutes in a game, and for any of you to really think that this season that will change is insanity, after this entire season he will be back to 80-90% form you can expect about 60% form by January right now he's about 30% because I can't name any other professional player who plays 30 minutes and can barely walk.. His effect on the game is still great even with in those 30 minutes so it would be great to have him to play first half and have a solid if not better sub ready to come on, or in reverse him playing 2nd half and a reliable player to play the 1st half however for now I don't think we have that luxury. The problem is, cassano at 30 y/o once he does regain fitness (if he does) his age will slow him down or he won't even gain full fitness due to his age, he's not a young kid anymore, for example kaka will never gain his speed back, once a player hits 30 they COULD continually preform as well as they did in there early-late 20's but they will certainly not get any better other then at tactical discipline as far as gaining more experience which I think he has enough of its just really his fitness that's holding him back. I would like to hold onto Cassano but since we've already gotten rid of lopez,ibra,pippo possibly even binho and cassano I'd like a remodeling of our attack, a faster younger attack.

if we did plan to reinvest and sell binho/cassano and also reinvest from their sales we could look at..

ibra - RVP or cavani or dzeko
robinho - tevez

I'll total up my favoured players..

jovetic 30mln
cavani 35mln
tevez 25mln
for defense tasci or whoever 10mln (don't see us spending anymore imho)
sahin/strootman about 10-15mln

72mln from ibra/thiago sales
15mln from robinho sale
10-15mln from cassano sale

100mln more or less.
all those players i mentioned = 105mln

If we look to reinvest money from these sales we can seriously make our team 50x better with sahin,cavani,tevez,jovetic and els although no matter who we get for our defense they won't fill the whole left by silva but hopefully close enough.

Mate, once again your hypothesis, no matter how feasible, does not take into account three things:

1) Milan would never spend all the money to reinforce. 70mln for the debt, another 10-20mln for next years debt, and then what we have left, say around 10-20mln, for tansfers.

2) You did not account for the players salaries, which would be quite high, imho.

3) B and G are idiots who never read forums, nuff said

Well, it would be more realistic to continiously rubish every link with every player we have and just say it wont happen cus b&g are retarted, however this transfer thread is rather full of that so i take the positive side of things(if there is one)

I agree with what you're saying, the only reason for my optimism is the fact that I seriously SERIOUSLY cannot process b&g being that stupid, if they sold our two best players to just pay off a debt then they really are extremely retarted and should definitely 100% not be running a soccer team, especially a big one like milan i just find it too hard to consider that being the reason why they sold silva and ibra i really dont want to believe it tbh.. but then again kaka.. sheva

I really think building a stadium should be #1 on berlusconis mind right now as far as running the club if he's willing to continue to do so.. Yes, you'll be in "red" lets say 250 millions euros, but you'll pull in close to 30-50mln euros profit/season. cover the stadium cost personally (as in berlusconi paying it outright) then spend let's say two seasons worth of profit so about 80-100mln rebuilding a strong young team so we won't need to worry about any retirements etc and from there we simply sell to buy then every year after that all the profit can go straight to berlusconis pocket if need be. That is what i would do if i were him. in 7 years (2 years of still spending to rebuild the team) 5 years that 250mln will be back in his bank account safe and sound

The dream would be De Sciglio. It is a dream, a remote one too, since we need to get De Sciglio to play more games first. Before him is Abate, another Milan's own product, who will naturally start the game ahead of him.

I heard that De Sciglio can play on the left side. I wonder how serious that proposal is. If true, maybe we could afford selling the other two superstars we have for the position (names are in your question already ).

Well, even if he does not do well, if Carlo still wants him, PSG will splash the money. Remember the saga few months ago even when Pato was busy flying here & there for treatment?
It's up to B&G these days, 'Our President is hero & true fans' scenario , or 'Balancing books' scenario , or even 'Saving 150mill in 2yrs' scenario . You pick one Therefore, I really hope he is fit and does really well.

I'm starting to think this is the start of a bigger project, whereby we'll be concentrating on own youth and buy in younger players (under 25). We might see the odd player being sold at/past their prime to profit, along with the lower wages of the younger squad.

The biggest hurdle to overcome I believe is we must own our own stadium.
