Inzaghi is not going to be part of coaching staff for the first team. It is going to be the 2nd rank of our youth teams, I believe.

El Shaarawy is too old for that. Well, he could always drop by and learn a few tips, or just watch Youtube.

Inzaghi: 'New Milan dream begins'

Pippo Inzaghi begins “another dream, which is to be a Coach and hopefully win the Champions League” after joining the Milan youth academy staff.

The striker had been considering a continuation of his playing career after the contract with the Rossoneri expired in June, but has now officially retired in order to lead the Allievi Nazionali team.

“My story with Milan finished in the best possible way, with a goal in the final game, so it was all perfect,” smiled SuperPippo.

“Now I begin another dream, which is to be a Coach and hopefully win the Champions League one day. I try to base myself on Carlo Ancelotti and thank him for everything he did for me.”

Inzaghi had been linked with numerous clubs despite the fact he turns 39 next month, such as Malaga, Atalanta and Fulham.

He ends his career with 156 goals in 370 Serie A games.

“I couldn’t go to play elsewhere, as I could not just leave Milan. Today I received a proposal from England, but I can’t leave Milan.

“I signed a two-year contract and will coach the youth team, then I hope one day to lead the senior squad too. Meanwhile, it’d be wonderful to challenge my brother in an Allievi Nazionali match.”

Simone Inzaghi is currently the Coach of the Lazio youth sector.

Pippo also had a message for the fans who are so anxious about the transfer activity that they have demanded season ticket reimbursements.

“Relax, with President Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani things will always go well.”

We should do the same thing with Maldini and players like Seedorf (in the future), it could attract many young players to be coached by such legends, and offcourse they could learn a lot from these heroes!

I'm glad for Pippo and wish him the best of luck, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit to being concerned by this appointment. I like Pippo and he could be a great coach, but he's got no experience and as far as I'm aware isn't particularly highly qualified as a coach. We're trying to push our youth department heavily and imo we need top level coaches at youth level to develop the youngsters.

If Maldini does return, I think it will only be in a directorial role, never as a coach.
