Admittedly I missed this match, but the result is good to add morale as was a clean sheet. That said, not much we should be looking at otherwise though, as at this point this match is pretty meaningless.
What I will say is this match highlights one thing in particular, which is we need to sell all of the deadweight at LB. Taiwo and Mesbah need to be sold, even at little to no cost if necessary to create space and funds in wages in the squad for someone competent. Also, if Didac isn't going to get a chance, then he should be sold too, as again he's a player that we're wasting here and is taking up unwanted spots in the squad.
i believe mesbah and vila will be sold. while for mesbah its clear he was not a milan quality (not even a starter on Algeria NT), i'm not sure why vila doesnt get his chances. I'm not familiar with him as a player tbh, but there is got to be a reason why allegri doesnt rate him.
taiwo will, on the other hand, and despite your wishes most probably stay, as he is getting chances in frendlies, and being pretty solid in games. i dont think we will buy anyone new for that position, at least not during this mercato. antonini/taiwo/de sciglio rotation is solid for serie a.
Lol stitch urby is a complete lost case i agree
But, i don't know why i just don't like taiwo. While he may have okay defensive performances, most noteably when we faced bayern i believe in the audi cup? in our preseason friendlies last season he defended great against robben and it's all over youtube. But, he does make mistakes, im not doubting his ability but he looks so like scared and uncomfortable on the pitch. If we had a solid LB i wouldn't mind having taiwo as a sub. But having 3 no where near solid LB's (nini, taiwo, mesbah) is a worry which is why i don't rate any of them highly. I just think mesbah is better because he does do an okay job at defending, while at getting forward imho he does a lot better then taiwo, where taiwo will defend well and regain possesion but then just blast the ball to no where but the oppositions goalie, on the positive side maybe he'll score the longest goal in history on the negative side unless he starts being a little more confident in himself(as to me it seems like a confidence issure more then anything else) then we can't rely on him to be our starting LB. Nini has been with us for a while and has some rare AMAZING performances (against barca two last second tackles that saved us 2 goals and further embarassment) and mesbah while costing us nothing is still worth pretty much nothing (2-3mill) while taiwo cost us 0 but is on a higher wage then mesbah and can actually be sold for something rather (5-7mln) depending on the club which is good money to have to find a new LB.
Taiwo isn't Milan material, I said it before he came, I said it once he was in Milan, and I'll say it until the end of his career !!
He can't defend properly (the first task for a defender, isn't it ?) : he's often out of position, and even if he is where he has to be, he's bad at one-on-ones (he is easily dribbled), which means we have an open door on our left !!
He can't attack properly (the second task for a FB, isn't it ?) : technically, he's poor, some say he's fast and has a great shot (damn, I keep saying that except kicking the ball by closing his eyes and shooting as powerfully as he can, he doesn't have a great nor good shot), but it's not the case.
And to add to all that : he's quite tall, but he is bad at headers ...
Taiwo, the exit door is there, please, go ...
One should not speak ill of the dead.
So stop laughing at Juventus !

I agree with you on Mesbah and Vila, but Taiwo I just don't see staying. Bear in mind he was playing friendlies last summer too. I must say from what I've seen of him, whether it be training matches, TIM cup or highlights of this match, he doesn't impress me at all.
Just out of curiosity, as we're talking about LBs here, has anyone watched Gotoku Sakai of VFB Stuttgart. He's a fullback who can play RB and LB and after reading an article about him yesterday, I was rather curious as to how good he is.
Why not try De Sciglio to play as LB? He used to play as LB in our youth team and we don't have any suitable LB anyway.
Remeber Nesta didn't start as a CB, he first played in middle field and then full back before Zeman put him in CB position. After just four games, Zeman convinced Nesta himself to play CB and then Lazio boss not to buy any big name CB.
IMHO, Allegri should really try De Sciglio on the left side.

I recommended that idea too. His performance against Inter Milan as LB was convincing. I really don't see why he should not be given another chance. Seniority?
Maybe we drop a few lines about this idea at Milan official website?
De Sciglio for the left side is a good idea. When Maldini was young, his favorite position was RB, and we now know the story.
And I think if Taiwo stops being a scaredy-cat, he can be a good LB. Because his physical ability and skills are suited for the position than any one else.

Nah, I prefer our own kid to try LB first.
Saw Taiwo in TIM and Schalk 04 games, his clumsy way of handling the ball reminds me of giant spider: hovering over the ball with his long limbs flying around his body uncordinated, jumpy, no fluid movement whatsoever.
