i really dont know why our fans wants to get rid of Robinho...He is one of our most useful players this season...Robinho and Boateng are very important players for our system...They are the players makes Allegri's system work...You cant find a player like him, tricky, fast, someone who track back well... i'd be exremely happy if we can sign 35 m euros cost Neymar... He is the new hit on world football...He would suit great in Serie A as well... He is tricky, fast,stronger, great finisher... we complain about Robinho's finishing but Neymar's finishing is great...

Robinho and Boateng are much important for us...i want them stay for a long time...2 quality players who can decide games though they need to improve on their finishing... also considering its their first season, new city, new club, new culture. that was not that easy to adapt but they did well... They will perform better next season...

I completely agree with you, people often forget about Robinho's sacrifice to this team, first of all he plays as an AMC more often than striker and he was still able to score 11 goals but also he created some goals for Pato and Ibra, and because of his style of play he can strech opponents defence...just look at our derby win and you'll see what I really mean...

I really have to watch what I say now because I might offend some people. But I'm just falling over at how anyone thinks there is any chance of getting CR7 anytime soon. First, the UNCREDITTED quote simply said that Berlu would like to see him in Milan. I'd like to buy a ferrari enzo - doesn't mean that it is going to happen. So even if the quote were real (and that's a big if) it doesn't in any way mention that Berlu is seeking to get a deal done.

Second why does everyone assume we are going to spend so much this summer? One of the posts above even goes as far to mention that we should assume Berlu will spend 200 million. Why not assume a trillion? Why doesn't Berlu simply buy a time machine and go back in time and get Pele and Maradona? Seriously - I feel silly having to bring some of you posters back to planet earth from whatever fantasy land you currently reside. This is Milan - we don't spend like RM or Chelsea. We might spend more this summer than others, but almost as likely we could spend less.

CR7 is untouchable right now. Not saying we won't ever get him. But if we do get him, it will be that one year just before he has to go to the US for a job.

I'd rather enjoy the play of Milan than close my eyes and dream what Milan could be like with every single best player in the world. You can call me a bad fan, but I prefer calling myself a realist.

berlusconi did actually say he wants to buy ronaldo,he told galliani he has a blank cheque book available for the mercato, you really didnt have to go out of your way to write a hole big post on trying to get us back to planet earth the reality of it is we may not have the financial resources but berlu does hes nearing his 80's its a possibility he will wana see another golden era. anything in football is possible, cr7 may be doing good things for his club but he may like milan better

What is great is that Milan has apparently signed MExes and NESTA will staaayyy!!!!!!! Foza Sandro!! So we'll finnally have GREAT backline and NEsta can play normal tempo and not every 3 days. No more Bonera, Kaladze, LEgrottaglie, Papa etc, subs. ( respect to Yepes! ).

Ganso's owners and Milan have made 2/3 of the deal done. That is what the news say, there is player to decide now etc.

Coentrao is on his way to Bayern, MArotta said Pirlo is on his way to Juve maybe... who knows.

Im looking forward to seeing a player like Ganso in Milan. A kind of player I adore. If somehow we are able to finnally buy Cissokho ( who is doing well ), we'll have phisically interesting team, which was not the case in the last era: Ibra, Ganso, Boateng, MvBommel, Thiago, Cissokho, Nesta, Flamini... this Milan team could have real phisical presence + technical abilities of top level.

Now we have only 2 mercato must objectives: LB and Ganso. Trust me, Ganso will lift our football to a new level, as Rui did, as Kaka' did.

No doubt about the Cristiano Ronaldo part. I have absolutely no doubt he'll play here one day, wether he'll be worth anything at that time I don't know though.

Would be excited to get Ganso as well, his touch is special, very special. That alone is what seperates him from other young playmakers in my opinion. It's also the single most important trait for a young playmaker if you ask me.

Last I heard he was linked to Bayern Munich. However, they have Phillip Lahm, and now apparently will sign Fabio Coentrao.

I see, well he would be a good choice imo, coentrao was always my first choice but it looks like we wont be getting him.. I don't understand, Berlusconi is a business man I understand that but I mean EVERY big club is in debt except for us and bayern, actualy now 4% of bayern is debt, were 0% debt so I think were the ONLY club in europe with no debt at all, to be in inters level of debt which isnt to bad compared to some other clubs we could spend approximately 65-70mln euros, not including the money we will have as pure profit at the end of the season which should be somewhere around 40mln. Thats a nice 110mln euros right there, so look at inter, if we wanted to be in their debt we'd have 110miln euros to spend we would DESTROY europe. sometimes when you look at stuff like this those 4 horrible years we had at the hands of inter really make you wonder if we deserved it.. clubs should have a salary cap to only spend what they earn, inter would probably still have vieri at 38 or however old he is playing as there striker and obafemi martins... That's exactly why Berlusconi couldn't spend that 60mln or whatever from the sale of kaka + the sale of sheva, basically all that money was towards paying our debt from the golden era, everything we bought from their was whatever we had left after taxes,player salaries etcetc from our revenue and yearly earnings..

SO REALLY when you look at it we should still be the best club in the world atm because were debt free and still doing well! any other club would definitely be nowhere near where they are now with the exception of manu and real, not so much manu which is why they have been holding back on buying players as of late, they went crazy spending. c.ronaldos sale was probably for that purpose but they also rack in alot of revenue so who knows but there stil in big debt..

but at the same time u gota take into consideration the fact that milan will probably be handed down to his children or whatever so he's doing good things by giving them the club debt free, i mean who knows what could happen to him he is afterall getting old and knock on wood i hope he lives till 120!!

EDIT: According to forbes inter is actualy 77% debt!!! lmaoo so basically if we wanted their debt we could buy their entire team excluding a couple players added to ours.

The debt issues for clubs had more to do with paying wages rather than transfer fees, Real and ManCity aside.

IMO, though, the root of the problem is generating revenue. Take a look at the EPL clubs, their mid table clubs actually has more buying power than some of the top European Clubs. Reason is not they spend money crazy without thinking, rather it is b/c they actually do have money from TV rights and Gate receipts. I read somewhere that the old EPL TV rights give out about 55M Pounds per EPL team, while teams are aiming at 80M Pounds on their next TV contracts. While clubs and fans in Italy are complaining they can't generate revenue b/c they can't own their stadiums....I think collectively, all Serie A clubs should get together and make Serie A into a Global brand to increase its TV rights revenues.

Important news concerning the next mercato:
- Nesta said he will retire ... but not at the end of this season, he still wants to play even if he thinks he'll need some rest sometimes during the next season(s) and isn't able anymore to play every 3 days.
- Mexes admitted that he will not sign any new contract in Roma, and that there have been a lot of talk about his arrival in Milan, because it's almost for sure where he will go ...

And some talks about Gattuso and Criscito (same agent):
- the agent said it's too early to speak about Russia for Gattuso, which is a weird answer, we're used to read things like "he only wants Milan and wants to stay" ...
- the agent revealed that Inter and Milan are still interested but everything will be decided after the end of the current season.

I feel that Mexes to Milan is a done deal. Though i am not sure i prefer him over Gary Cahill. What do you guys think? Also, how do you rate Criscito?

Gary Cahill's playing well, but I'm not convinced of his positioning on the field all the time, which is very important for a player with his stature. With Nesta all but confirmed for next season, having a player like Mexes as first choice backup is more than adequate.

Criscito is good defensively, nothing special going forward.

The 4-2-3-1 isn't a viable option right now. We don't have proper wingers, or at least wingers acting as forwards (Robben for example), nor adequate backup. That's why I think if we want to buy a left back, he must be good going forward, or at least to provide width without leaving too much space behind for the opponents to exploit.

4-2-3-1 isn't viable at the moment, but add one or two wide players and I think it's possible to have a team that can play 4-2-3-1 (or 4-2-1-3 depending on perspective). I say this because we do have guys like Pato and Robinho who are capable playing in wide areas cutting in and then I believe players like Merkel and Boateng could also start in wide positions, cutting in, as well as Urby for a more natural wide man. While the shape will be deploy wide men, the wide players don't necessarily need to be wingers or wide forwards.
